schmitty 65 Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Hi, I would like to know if there is a way to apply treatments to cover art by the media source. Currently, my library is configured as below:- \\SERVER\Movies \\SERVER\Movies\Blu-Ray \\SERVER\Movies\Downloaded \\SERVER\Movies\DVD \\SERVER\TV \\SERVER\TV\Blu-Ray \\SERVER\TV\Downloaded \\SERVER\TV\DVD \\SERVER\TV\HDTV \\SERVER\TV\SDTV CoverArt is configured with individual profiles for media source \\SERVER\TV\Blu-Ray with a specific treatment of... BD items will use the BD cover My files are named:- Name.SXXEXX.V:CO-A:CO.Q:A-V:SO.ext I was wondering if it is possible to apply the cover treatment by the V:SO (Video Source) in the filename?
Koleckai Silvestri 1150 Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 (edited) When you create a new profile, it will ask you for the path to apply the profile to. Any treatments in that profile only apply to its path. It doesn't use the filename for the cover art as far as I am aware. It reads the metadata. Edited February 6, 2016 by Koleckai Silvestri
schmitty 65 Posted February 11, 2016 Author Posted February 11, 2016 (edited) Perhaps Luke or Ebr could assist with this? The Q:A is quality, the V:SO is Video Source (DVD, BluRay, HDTV) Should the Blu-Ray source be BluRay or BD? I recently restructured my library to remove the individual source directories, as it was a pain to browse that way. So now it is just \\SERVER\TV\Series Edited February 11, 2016 by schmitty
ebr 15439 Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 As Koleckai stated, we don't derive any of this information from custom tags in the file name. CA does support a custom property on movies which shows in the Metadata editor as "Treat Image As". However, you are dealing with TV episodes here and those are not treated differently based on their format. There is just a single episode treatment in each image style.
schmitty 65 Posted February 12, 2016 Author Posted February 12, 2016 (edited) Is it possible to have an option at the series and season level to "Treat Image As", and have the season level treatment override the series treatment, if it applied? Or even detect the source by keywords in the filename. Edited February 12, 2016 by schmitty
ebr 15439 Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Probably not in the near term unless a whole lot of demand pops up for it. Sorry.
schmitty 65 Posted May 24, 2016 Author Posted May 24, 2016 That's a shame. It would be a heck of a lot easier than having to set up treatment rules for individual series or seasons. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
schmitty 65 Posted January 7, 2017 Author Posted January 7, 2017 Any word on adding 'Treat image as...' to the Series and Season level info pages?
schmitty 65 Posted January 9, 2017 Author Posted January 9, 2017 Would this request really take that much work to implement?
