Login failure - Unable to connect to the remote server

Hi I am trying to use Media Browser Theater but it cannot log in. I enter the username and password and after about 15 seconds it displays the message "Login Failure Unable to connect to remote server"

 

I installed today and the program was working but no longer does after restarting the computer. Media Browser Classic through WMC is still able to log in and play media.

 

The media browser service is running from the same machine and is version 3.0.5518.7.

Media Browser Theatre version is 3.0.5531.26414

 

I can't figure out what is wrong, any help would be appreciated.

Necroposting...

 

I have the same problem: I enter the username, no password, and after 10 seconds I get "failure to communicate with server." I can't use Theater. It worked after the install, but a day later I've been locked out.

 

Does anyone know what's going on?

 

In the mean time, back to MediaBrowser3 Classic. But this isn't a long term solution since Microsoft is ditching WMC and I need to start getting used to the stand-alone program.

I know this is a old thread but has this problem  been resolved? i just migrated to a new PC and have the same problem. havent been able to log into emby theater at all since the migration
