yardameus 220 Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Just noticed after trying out MB3 Server as a service for a few days, there is nowhere to restart from in the webclient (like for an upgrade). I'm not sure if it's just not possible to do that when it's a service, but if it is, it would be really handy.
Abobader 3323 Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Good day, This option been disable for now for whom using the service. My best 1
yardameus 220 Posted November 6, 2013 Author Posted November 6, 2013 I figured it was. Is there supposed to be a tray icon when the service is active? Otherwise you have to open the task manager and shut the service down and then start the service.
Abobader 3323 Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Good day, No regarding tray icon when running the service. Luke for sure when he have times, will address these issue in the future. My best 1

Good day, The OP ask within the control of the mb3 server dashboard tools, they are a lots of work around if you want to do that without the dashboard control, net command is one of them but not the best one My best 1

I just thought I'd offer him some more details on why that option was not available. I also wanted to offer a quicker way of restarting the server than by using Task Manager or services.msc. I remote desktop into the server and run a simple .bat file that "restarts" it by stopping and starting the service.net stop mediabrowsernet start mediabrowser 2
yardameus 220 Posted November 6, 2013 Author Posted November 6, 2013 Thanks a lot for all the info guys. Not really that big of an issue anyways. Just making sure there wasn't something I didn't know about. The .bat file seems like a good solution for now, and will be less of an issue once we've worked through all the little issues of introducing MB3.
