RedStripe 14 Posted November 23, 2014 Author Posted November 23, 2014 (edited) I have set both "artist" and "album artist". The videos are .mp4. The tags were set using foobar 2000. P.S. foobar links with with artist name Edited November 23, 2014 by RedStripe
steve1977 67 Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 Same issue with me and reported in earlier threat. This still does not appear to be fixed. Thanks for looking into this. http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/8904-support-music-videos-in-album-folder/
Luke 38842 Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 it is resolved but all we're talking here is values you see in the metadata manager. if you fix those you'll see them show up. that's the scope of this issue. nothing to do with tags in video files.
steve1977 67 Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 Not sure whether I fully understand and what is the scope of the "fix". Some albums include video files (MP4 or M4V), which are tagged and part of an album. These video files do not show under the actual album and also do not show under "musicvideos" either. Was this supposed to be addressed by the "fix" and is there anything further that I can provide you for troubleshooting? Thanks!
Luke 38842 Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 Go to a music video -> click edit -> enter artist name(s) that exactly match artist names that are found in song tags. Then go view the artist and you should see the music videos. Before they were not appearing. Now they are. That is the fix and that is all that this particular issue is about. 1
steve1977 67 Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 Ah, got it. So, "my issue" is not addressed yet. I have not added anything as "Musicvideos", so this "fix" does not help me. All my musicvideos are added as "Music" (as they are part of a music album). So, these are still not being recognized up by MBS?
