Gonga_76 0 Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Maybe I've missed this somewhere - so almost hope it already exists (as Plex do this already - and is also standard view for a family shared view in Google Photos). What I'm hoping for is media aggregation (from multiple Phones / cameras / camcorder) - such that playback can be initiated from anywhere in the timeline and a slideshow with all media within can also take place. Use case as follows: Family take a trip - 3 mobile phones and a camcorder are used to record the fun. We then back all that content up to the NAS when we get home into various folders. How do we then sit down (soon after and then years in the future) - to review the trip as a slideshow that plays videos too? The main feature is a 'timeline' view - that aggregates content (videos & photos) from seaprate shares - into one view wihtin Emby. Right now - all I see is separate Videos / Photos / Folders. Have I missed something - or is my request a new thing to Emby?
visproduction 251 Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Gong, There are many programs that can create a timeline image from video. https://duckduckgo.com/?q=create+timeline+contact+sheet+from+video&ia=web Source media can be edited into a trip video by importing all the content into a video editor. Then you can mix everything together, add commentary and music, freezeframe and do whatever you like. This is video editing work. You can skip that, but your collection of multiple and longer videos from many different sources will never be as impressive and tight as an edited version. Your family members will hardly get the same impression from looking through all the source material. That is an editor's job. I would imagine that if you only show source material without editing, people will not really be interested in viewing your videos after a quick first showing and they will probably avoid coming back to your server. https://duckduckgo.com/?q=edit+a+travel+video+tips&ia=web
