Added a couple of new folders to my music library. The new folders are not picked up when I scan the library. I can see no mention of the in the log (Debug mode on).

However, if I use Folder display the new folders are there and contain files.

In Artist view, the Enya artist is listed but if I go into it the newly added "Watermark" album is not shown.

Hi, if they are there in folder view but not album and artist view, then it means your audio files are not tagged with the necessary information to create those relationships.

Music Naming

They are tagged the same as the other 12000+ songs on my server as far as I am aware. They have been ripped with EAC and converted from WAV to FLAC with VLC like hundreds of others (EAC started giving parameter errors on FLAC conversion at some upgrade so I started ripping EAC and converting with VLC).

Other tracks recently ripped and converted in this way show up fine.

Tomorrow I shall check all the tags in mp3tagger.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Please let us know what you find. Thanks.

OK, so forced a refresh of metadata and that did nothing.

Opened up the files in mp3tagger and guess what - EAC hasn't written the tags! Whether that's due to losing settings in latest upgrade or something, I don;t know.

Forced library scan

Now the two new albums show, but not all the tracks.

Force metadata refresh followed by library scan - all tracks tere, the only thing missing is an artist image for one album, which may appear during future refreshes.

Thanks Luke - problem solved. I shall now check the defaults set for EAC...
