Movie information, plot, rating, tomato and other IDs, movie web site, artis info etc. Please try on the latest dev build, thanks. the files won't go away, but the videos should be properly grouped together so that it doesn't happen again.
jordy 284
Hey @@Luke, whatever you did to the latest dev version worked very well. I went through my entire library and removed all of the extra files that MBS had added with the previous update, switched Metadata back on, ran a Library scan a few times and then added a completely new Movie. MBS accepted the metadata provided by MetaBrowser2 and didn't change or add anything to that or any other movie, MBS also downloaded the trailer for the new movie but did not create a .xml file for it or add any images. So WELL DONE and thanks .
denethor 90
Please try on the latest dev build, thanks. the files won't go away, but the videos should be properly grouped together so that it doesn't happen again. Looks almost OK @@Luke thanks! I have removed all of my unwanted xml, jpg, png files before updating to new dev build.(didn't touch movie.xml file) After new version installed all movies added properly to my library. 2 minor glitches: - All items marked as new so my home page filled with old items. By the way watch status of items is still there no problem on that area. - Scanner still adds moviename - [hsbs or 1080p]-<metadatatype>.jpg and pngs. Example: I have both Transformers Age of Extinction - 1080p-poster.jpg and poster.jpg in same folder. Even I have deleted the Transformers Age of Extinction - 1080p-poster.jpg before update. jordy 284
@@denethor, that didn't happen to me. as yourself I deleted all the unwanted files before update but scanning didn't put them back. The only difference I ca see is that I don't have the resolution (1080p) as part of the file name - just the movie name and year in brackets eg Transformers Age of Extinction (2014).mkv. perhaps that is the issue. Edit: just thought shouldn't the "1080p" be in square brackets to make it "ignored"? you might want to try that. swhitmore 781
For anyone that has a bunch of false metadata created from the dev build, have a look at Renamer. It's a great tool for creating filters so that you can batch remove/rename things. After the last update, I haven't had any more troubles with false discovery. denethor 90
What are you not understanding? (Sorry, I don't understand what you're not understanding ). Why should I rename my files as per swhitmore recommendation while all of them named according to guidelines? Can anyone tell me what is wrong with my files names in my above samples? For example what is wrong with Magic in the moonlight.mkv? Why I am having both "Magic in the moonlight-logo.png" and "logo.png" in the same folder? ebr 14947
Oh, okay. He wasn't suggesting you rename your files. He was just suggesting a tool that would make it easy to clean out any additional files that were created by this bug.

Luke 37156
at this point in regards to folder structure i would think everything should be good now, apart from some extra images that may have been previously downloaded into your folders
