7Davids7 1 Posted October 21 Posted October 21 (edited) Hi, first time posting so I hope I am doing this right. I recently updated to version 4.8.10.0 from 4.3 I think (I didn't note it before update). Ever since I am experiencing issues with playback on some films and TV programs. These all worked fine before the update and seem to still work fine on my android phone. The issue is on my 4k fire stick and on my android TV app. If I play it on my phone and then cast to my android TV app, this plays fine. Its says too many errors giving up or no compatible streams are currently available. I have Emby installed on TrueNAS 13 Please find attached the logs I believe you require. As for the transcoding ones I have only attached a couple but it created over 75 of them. I notice in the log it says a different film to the one I am selecting. embyserver.txt ffmpeg-transcode-36d8ef5b-602f-47c0-88fe-57378d79d1a3_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-83107fbe-5443-48c9-87b3-6df9f8fc4b0c_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-7d495466-7dc1-4db2-85f5-5759f2f3f910_1.txt Edited October 21 by 7Davids7 Added info
Happy2Play 9079 Posted October 21 Posted October 21 Will have to search but believe your OS has to be updated per other topics during 4.8.x.x. Operating System: FreeBSD 13.1-RELEASE-p9 FreeBSD 13.1-RELEASE-p9 n245431-b8ec9bde091 TRUENAS ld-elf.so.1: /usr/local/lib/libtasn1.so.6: Undefined symbol "strverscmp@FBSD_1.7"
7Davids7 1 Posted October 21 Author Posted October 21 Hi Happy2Play, thank you for your quick response. I have just updated TrueNAS to 13.3 but still appear to have the same issue. I have tried searching for an update to the Emby plugin but it says there isn't one available but it still shows as 13.1 in TrueNAS plugins I am probably missing something obvious but I am not an expert in this, just a DIYer embyserver.txt.crdownload
Happy2Play 9079 Posted October 21 Posted October 21 A dev or the package builder will have to comment as I don't know if 13.3 will only apply to beta. As all can to do is reference existing topics with that error as it pointed to updating the jail. 1
7Davids7 1 Posted November 10 Author Posted November 10 I am still having this issue and I am now finding more and more things that are not playing on the TV's.
7Davids7 1 Posted November 11 Author Posted November 11 Hi Luke. Yes it is Emby Server that I have installed. I can't remember what version I was running that worked fine, but I have now updated to 4.8.10.0_1 and am having the issues Version: 4.8.10.0_1 Plugin: emby-server-stable Release: 13.1-RELEASE-p9 Collection: https://github.com/ix-plugin-hub/iocage-plugin-index.git
7Davids7 1 Posted November 25 Author Posted November 25 @LukeI installed it via the instructions on the Emby site using github via the terminal

7Davids7 1 Posted November 25 Author Posted November 25 Sorry if I am causing any confusion. I don't recall being asked how I installed it before. No I don't have a new instance. Still the same install and same issues. I have noticed more now where the casting option isn't working for me either. Is my only option to uninstall and start from scratch. A bit of a pain if that is it.
7Davids7 1 Posted December 3 Author Posted December 3 @Lukeis my only option to start over? It has been 6 weeks now and I still don't have a resolution.
7Davids7 1 Posted Thursday at 10:30 AM Author Posted Thursday at 10:30 AM @LukeI have uninstalled the current installation and then upon attempting install through terminal I get the following root@truenas[~/iocage-amd64]# git clone https://github.com/MediaBrowser/iocage-amd64.git cd iocage-amd64 iocage fetch -P emby-server.json dhcp="on" ip6="inherit" allow_mlock="on" --branch master iocage set plugin_repository='https://github.com/MediaBrowser/iocage-amd64.git' emby-server-2 fatal: destination path 'iocage-amd64' already exists and is not an empty directory. Host: 13.3-RELEASE is not greater than target: 14.1-RELEASE This is unsupported. plugin_repository: none -> https://github.com/MediaBrowser/iocage-amd64.git Any ideas on how I can get around this?
Luke 38528 Posted Thursday at 10:01 PM Posted Thursday at 10:01 PM HI, try using the truenas 12 instructions: https://emby.media/truenas-server.html Except substitute freebsd12 for freebsd13. Please see if that helps. Thanks.
7Davids7 1 Posted Friday at 10:19 AM Author Posted Friday at 10:19 AM @LukeThank you for your help. I did a lot of searching and ending up migrating to truenas scale. I have now installed the app through the official means and it is now working fine. 1
