Luke 39785 Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 Hi, are you still having an issue with this?
Magnoliiiia 2 Posted October 14, 2024 Author Posted October 14, 2024 NO, I changed my hardware device (ubuntu 22.04 for AMD platforms), reinstalled EMBY several times during the debugging process (reinstalled the ubuntu system several times), and finally the Emby Premiere activation times ran out, and the EMBY hardware acceleration was not done, and finally I had to change the software.

Hi, looking at your first log from July it appears to be a Synology install with 8 processors. Your log also shows both a GeForce GTX 1060 as well as GT2 UHD Graphics 630. Are you running XPEnology on this box? Did setup use Docker? What hardware did you upgrade to? What GPUs do you have in the new box? Did you install Emby directly on Ubuntu or using Docker? Have you tried Emby Server 4.8.10.0?

"Yes, my previous Emby server was installed on a laptop running XPEnology. I later discovered a bug with NVIDIA transcoding on iOS devices. Since this didn't appear to be a widespread issue, I thought it might be due to compatibility between my hardware and XPEnology. Therefore, I purchased new equipment and set up a Linux server (Ubuntu 22.04 LTS + AMD 8600G). Due to issues with the APU drivers, I repeatedly installed Emby Server to test the hardware transcoding function, which caused my Premiere usage to be exhausted (it seems you can only activate it five times). My drivers are now configured correctly, but I don't know how to recover my Premiere, as it still appears to be using my Premiere counts even after uninstalling Emby Server."

"It's strange, I just tried again and Premiere activated successfully. Next, I will test the various functions on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS with the AMD 8600G. Thank you and Luke for your long-term attention to this issue."
Magnoliiiia 2 Posted October 16, 2024 Author Posted October 16, 2024 I have to say, I've finally got everything I wanted! The Emby server is highly compatible and smooth on the original Ubuntu. The APU8600G has lower power consumption and better performance for transcoding. I think my XPEnology can finally be shut down. Thank you all!!! 2
Solution Carlo 4550 Posted October 16, 2024 Solution Posted October 16, 2024 This is what I was thinking as well concerning XPEnology and transcoding!
