What I mean is that I play Emby music via my Android phone, random works great using my earphones.

but I also often connect the phone with BT to my Home amplifier, and then it would also be nice if you could use the random function.

This not working ad this moment, so would by nice if could.

Hi, we'll try to get to it soon, but you can still do this. You just have to click shuffle when you start playing.

had hoped that it would be a good work around that I did  not know yet, but this is not what I was looking for.

I can indeed select a CD and put it on shuffle, it will then indeed play shuffled, if I add another CD to the waiting list,

it will not be included in the shuffle, it will then be played later, I had hoped that the enclosed CD would then be included in the shuffle list

It could of course also be that it has to be done in a different way? Please let me know

Hi. Just click "shuffle" on the player after adding the new CD.

Luke, if I took for example 2 cd for listening on my phone I have the option to shuflle.

If i make a Dlna connection the playlist  will not a shuflle palylist anymore and the  shuffle option is not not accessible more

I understand the button isn't in the play queue, but you can shuffle before you get to that point, right? 

For example you can shuffle from the album or playlist screen.

Hi Luke, Try to reproduce the issue yourself:

Select a CD and play it, but make sure it’s without a DLNA connection.

Add two more CDs to your playlist by selecting "Add to Playlist."

Go to your playlist and press the shuffle/Random  button. Emby will create a shuffled playlist.

Establish a DLNA connection using the button in the top-right corner and choose "Play on."

Do not select Chromecast or similar devices; instead, establish a DLNA connection.

When you do this:

You're playlist becomes empty. and so the music stops playing,

So you have to start over again, but you can only play individual CDs, not Shuffle playlist/.

The shuffle button disappears.

I’m aware there is a potential workaround, but it’s cumbersome:

You can save the playlist, go to the saved playlist, and then play it, which allows shuffling to work.

It would be great if Emby could implement this feature properly. We often add several CDs to the playlist and want to play or listen to them in a varied (shuffled) order.
