Hi,

Recently, I installed Emby Version 4.7.14.0 on an iMac; Currently, I'm using Google Nest Pro 6E as my mesh network and my ISP is AT&T Fiber. All devices are able to connect within my network, but I'm having an extremely hard time accessing Emby remotely. I used to be able to access remotely when I used to have Google Wi-Fi routers before upgrading to Google Nest Pro.

All devices are able to connect within my network, but I'm having an extremely hard time accessing Emby remotely.

I executed port forwarding (opened ports 8096 & 8920) on my Google Nest Pro 6E via the app and tried to connect to Emby with mobile data only enabled, no luck; I keep receiving a "Connection Failure" pop-up. For good measure, I restarted my router and tried to connect again, but no dice.

I'm fairly tech-savvy, and as previously mentioned this is new territory. But, with your guidance, I believe we can rectify this issue.

Thanks in advance.

OK, I would suggest checking out our Connection Troubleshooter:

Connectivity

Please try the steps listed there and let us know which ones succeed and which ones do not. Thanks !

I ensure port mapping and allow remote access was, checked. I port forwaded 8096 TCP port on my Google nest and on my ATT BGW320-500 after all of that I located my external address. I tried accessing my external emby address through my phone on cellular data and I still got the same message. Also did can you see me and a trace route

Can you show us the port forwarding that you setup in the router? Does your ISP allow use of these ports?

First picture is from Google Nest, 2nd from the ISP. I'm not sure if they allow it or not, funny thing is it worked perfectly fine when I used Google Wifi routers

Are you sure the local ip that you're forwarding to is correct?

Attached is my IP from my Mac settings. I know this has to be something simple that I'm not seeing and I feel dumb for it. That's why I'm here asking for help

What is the IP listed on your Emby Dashboard, under "In-Home (LAN) access" ?
