Collections from TheTVDB lists

I've created a list of Edgar Wallace movies; https://thetvdb.com/lists/15993

Since Themoviedb has rather strict rules for creating collections.

Could you get lists (either only official or any custom) and make collections from those?
I think that could be helpful.

I get that this would create all sorts of Collections, which may not be desired, so only accepting official ones could be better.

Pulp Fiction for example is also in what I'd call private lists; https://thetvdb.com/movies/pulp-fiction#lists
meaning, ones that don't convey a lot of meaning to almost anyone beside the person who created them.

Beside the obvious, Director, Cast etc. since I can browse by that person and look for movies they've been involved with,
are there other sources which could be used to create collections of movies that somehow are connected to one another?

I hoped Wikidata could help here, but no.

Maybe Wikidata does have some collections of other movies by some combining characteristic, but I'm very much not familiar with how it works.

There exists a property for the themoviedb ID: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Property:P4947
And of course IMDB: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Property:P345
There is also one for theTVDB: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Property:P12196

If any of these are present on Wikidata (which most likely someone added the IMDB ID), the movie could be identified and the Wikidata ID could be set for a movie also; https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q1193606

Hi, there's already an open request for this or something functionally equivalent. Please join in and contribute to the existing discussion at:

HI, yes we could look at this from tvdb. In the meantime we do support importing collections from MovieDb.
