Stop extras from merging with episodes when they are properly named

I could delete them all right ?

Or disable metadata providers and manually procure metadata.

I remember back in the day I had some firefly extras (round table chat with cast and director). I think I just put them in a folder named extras and gave them a name I made up with no season/episode numbering.. Not sure that will work now.. I don't have the extras now so can't check.

mmm come to think about it that could have been Kodi..

Yes that works, but now the folder is not shown in emby, so that will be like deleting the files.

I'm still confused why the library scan is picking up a series folder named "other", that's totally wack!

I know regx can be hard for some programmers but this is a total fail!

But this is the most irritating one.

These 2 files are being merged.

I get the name both include "No mercy"  but they are in seppret folders, and this is not turned on.

The featurettes folder underneath a series is not supported in 4.7, so in general I would expect the unexpected with it.

By definition you cannot "expect the unexpected." Because if you do expect the unexpected the you have expected it, whatever "it" is.  

However I try very very hard not to give Emby anything unexpected. That is I have found that if I name and structure everything exactly as Emby wants it then I have very very few problems. I also never place any directory in Emby's library's paths that Emby does not need for proper operation.

However my movies, with only two out of 4500 being exceptions, do not have individual folders. If Emby ever stops supporting the relatively "flat" structure I use I will be in for a lot of work. But I know that may be coming and I am at least mentally prepared for the eventuality. I also have a utility that might make it easier when/if it happens that creates directories based on file names and moves the file into it. 

I hope Emby never takes that action but it is their program, not mine, and they can, and will, do as they please. 

The way my health has been going I will possibly not live long enough for the ponderous machine that is "Emby" to make that big a move. But I have been cheating death pretty much ever snice my freshman year in HS and all through the military. I was even once in the first floor of a six story building that was struck by three bombs from our own planes. FWIW: They did not know I was there. I was supposed to be almost 100 kilometers away and the building was supposed to be an enemy command post. Communication was poor, at best, in SE Asia and my message to the spotters to hold fire just got scrambled and/or lost. 
So I could live to 150 or I could start taking my permanent dirt nap tomorrow.

Emby still needs to complete the neural interface before my nap time.
