How to stop generating BIF and JPEG file without turning off VPT?

I have noticed that when I turn on Video Preview Thumbnail (VPT) it will generate BIF and JPEG file on the same location where the video is, so my question How to stop making BIF and JPEG file without turning off Video Preview Thumbnail.

 

Also, I want to make a suggestion to create a feature of break chapter in seek bar like this...

Edit Library>toggle Show advanced settings up top>scroll down to Video Preview Thumbnails section>untick Save video preview thumbnails into media folders - they'll be saved into server metadata folder instead. 

Ditto for Save artwork into media folders.

That'll keep JPEGs in media folders but not BIFs.

My question is "how to stop generating BIF and JPEG file without turning off Video Preview Thumbnail?" That was my issue. I just want to make sure if I am doing in the right way.  

Speak of the right way, have considered my suggestion at the top of the thread?

Hi, yes, chapter markers in the video player are not a bad idea and certainly possible.

Hi.  You can't as that is the storage for the preview thumbs.  Now, you can change where they are stored, but if you have thumbs turned on, then those files will be generated.
