Seems like the new update for truenas isn't good  went to update the normal way and emby is not taking it  there is always an error and I had to implement the -f idk what's going on. I always used pkg update then pkg upgrade in shell within truenas always worked no issues this update however isn't working at all this way.

Is there a new way to update the emby server now on truenas core?

I know on the download section of the website those only work for the beta version of the emby server not the official version.

I run TrueNAS Core and am currently running the latest 4.8.0.37 beta build without any issues.

Did you follow the install instructions from: https://emby.media/freebsd-server.html ?
Do you have any kind of output or logs to shows what's going on?
Can you elaborate on what error message you're seeing?
Is your Jail up to date? / What version of FreeBSD are you running? ( For example my instance is on FreeBSD13 which is the latest available currently.)

These are the steps I take to install Emby and seldom encounter issues on my TrueNAS jail:

1) Stop the Emby server and update the packages
service emby-server stop
pkg update -f
pkg upgrade

2) Update / Install Dependencies as per the [Emby Install Guide](https://emby.media/freebsd-server.html)

3) Backup the PKG incase you need to roll back
cd ~/EmbyPKGBackups && curl -O <LATEST URL HERE>

4) Install the latest version of Emby Server available from the [Emby Github Releases](https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.Releases/releases) for the appropriate version of FreeBSD *(You can find the install command pre-populated on the [Emby Install Guide](https://emby.media/freebsd-server.html)
pkg add -f <LATEST URL HERE>

5) Start the Emby Service
service emby-server start
