thostr 12 Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 When I have titles with Danish characters the sorting is off. The letters æ, ø and å are in Emby as a, o and a wich is incorrect according to Danish sorting standard. The correct sorting is as the last three letters in the alphabet. I have added an image for reference. Is there any way to change that? I'm running Emby Server 4.7.5
Luke 39674 Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 Hi there, can you please show a specific example? Thanks.
thostr 12 Posted July 23, 2022 Author Posted July 23, 2022 (edited) The letters are æ/Æ , ø/Ø and aa/Aa/å/A I have some movies here wich all are sorted as sA and lO instead of sorting them according to my original post. aa is in Danish the older form of a så it should also be sorted as such. The movies in question is: Så Længe Jeg Lever - Saa mødes vi hos Tove (should be sorted as Så mødes vi hos Tove) - Sænk Periskopet - Løgn og løvebrøl Edited July 23, 2022 by thostr
thostr 12 Posted July 23, 2022 Author Posted July 23, 2022 in Plex the sorting is correct. In the added screenshots the three movies Lærkevej: "Til døden os skiller", "Løgn og løvebrøl" and "Laan mig din kone" are sorted after "Lyntoget" as they should after Danish alphabet. As a workarround i guess I could manually twerk the sorting titles, but prefer the ability to sort with danish characters natively.

thostr 12 Posted August 25, 2022 Author Posted August 25, 2022 (edited) Sorry didn't see your reply. The sort titles does look correct in some cases, but not all. I seems like Emby can't do "a" but i can handle "æ" and "ø" But nevertheless it still sorts "ø" as "o" and "æ" as "a". Edited August 26, 2022 by thostr
