The whole file is just a bunch of gibber jabber to me ;). Just search in that file for '16' and replace that number with whatever you want. Just make sure there's only one '16' in the file. Or find 'Limit:16' and replace the 16 with... Remember to save it and restart the server. 1
arrbee99 1704 Posted December 21, 2024 Author Posted December 21, 2024 Its a lot clearer if you edit it in something called Notepad++
ebr 15609 Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Please don't come out here and complain that your home screen takes forever to load .
sCampi85 1 Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Thats why the most of us asked 4 a scripted / Update solution. E.g. DS Video had it as a standard setting and it didnt load long or it even freeze.

mbender1123 2 Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 This won't affect tv or streaming apps right? Just the web browser?

visproduction 264 Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 Limit 16 I used to go in and update it, but the limit returns with every Emby update. Then I thought that too many latest can contribute to user overload. Too many choices and they don't pick anything and just close the app and move on. By the way, if you add Collections to the home page, you get them all and if you add Recently Released Movies, you get 45 by default. So, for example: 2 libraries, 100 collections and latest releases are 16+16+100+45 = 177 posters. Of course, collections go to multiple items. Do you really need to increase that number on the home page?
arrbee99 1704 Posted December 22, 2024 Author Posted December 22, 2024 To me that just says if Emby can show all my Collections on the Home page, why can't it do it for other rows. Well not all my latest movies going back forever, but quite a lot more. 1
mbender1123 2 Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 Yeah. And recently released isn't the same as recently added. I'd also like to see more suggestion rows altogether, not necessarily just a longer row for just recently added. More rows of the "because you watched this" suggestions on the library screen mostly, but on homepage would be cool too. 1
sCampi85 1 Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 Yes I do. The option should be implemented and everybody can decide to use it by their own (Like all other Options in Emby). You also should not mix recently added and recently released. These are complete different contents.
ruest 4 Posted April 5 Posted April 5 What will it take to get a customizable count option added to the various client apps? Is that in progress or doesnit need a new feature request for clients in general or one for each desired client?
