e27 7 Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 I have all of my movies and TV shows in ISO format and do not want to to convert them into another format due to the fact it would take forever. All of my movies and TV shows are bit to bit Main movie only, so no menus. Is it possible to have the Chapter Images extracted from these ISO Files? Thanks.
ebr 15579 Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 I suggest you look into starting a conversion. This type of format (full disc images whether ISO or just file rips) is fading away and support for it is very difficult. Sometimes it will work sometimes not but it will always be harder than more modern true file formats (mkv, mp4 etc.).
e27 7 Posted September 26, 2014 Author Posted September 26, 2014 I've never been able to get true bit for bit format with formats like MKV. Any suggestions? Thanks
Spaceboy 2565 Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Just rip with makemkv using the default settings. It is a 1:1 copy, just in a different container. Test it and see
e27 7 Posted September 26, 2014 Author Posted September 26, 2014 I tried it. I lost 3GB of data when I convert. It's not 1:1.
techywarrior 689 Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Are you sure that's 3GB of actual data? It could be the copy protection and related files. Some types of copy protection creates a lot of very small bad sectors or other "data" that may be calculated by a PC but which isn't actual data.
e27 7 Posted September 26, 2014 Author Posted September 26, 2014 No, i didn't see the drop down menu for the DTS-HD audio. I selected everything and now it is 1:1. Thanks all.
