Yes, all the fire devices are 32bit at present time.

it's strange to put a 32 bits OS since the time.

There was a big controversy between the tube and pro shield with less performance.

There is another aspect to consider...the muxing/demuxing. Dolby Vision in mkv is still very new, and many demuxers won't fully support the variants, if at all. Here's an example.

I have this file from the Dolby developer site:

It only plays the audio, with a black screen.

The only major difference is the container, mp4 vs mkv. You can also see that the codec IDs are different. The mp4 reads as hev1, but the mkv is V_MPEGH/ISO/HEVC.

I'm playing these on a Windows 10 machine with the official Dolby Labs extension, and with the Movies & TV app (yes it plays DV correctly). If I play them in mpv (mpv doesn't support DV), it plays the HDR10(+) correctly, (also correctly in VLC).

So the suggestion is that maybe the demuxer needs to catch up. This may be why it works in the native player of the Dune, but not in other players. They may have a more up to date demuxer (which I would expect them to have). Windows/Dolby extension also needs to be updated.
