  1. I am facing an issue where launching Emby from the Smart Hub on my Samsung UA55F8000AM LED TV is returning a 'NOT AVAILABLE' dialog. Emby had been working flawlessly for the previous months both in the beta and release versions. The only element that I can point at changing is the firmware of the TV being updated to 1126. I have reset both the TV and SmartHub to factory defaults and followed the install instructions. The installation completes with no errors, and I am able to launch Emby and view/play media without any issues. Upon exiting SmartHub, and powering off the TV, all subsequent attempts to launch Emby return the 'NOT AVAILABLE' issue. If I reinstall again without a reset I am able to launch once again. Has anyone else seen this issue or know steps to assist diagnosing the issue?
  2. Hi, Some time ago i read that the ORSAY third party app dev's did not see a problem in not developing HTTPS support. My Samsung is run remotely through the Internet, and I would really like that developers think of security. Anyway... How would the Third Party App behave if i enable the new setting on the server to redirect to HTTPS.. Will the App ignore this and still use HTTP because it does not support HTTPS? Thanks /Blob
  3. Hi @@Luke, Some of my mkv files have at some point started to be reported by the server as "mkv,webm". This is treated as an unsupported format by the old Orsay app and triggers transcoding of files that used to direct play. The problem is that the old Orsay app operates by saying if [FILE EXTENSION] is supported, request Stream.[FILE EXTENSION] Is there any danger in adding a hack to say "mkv,webm" = "mkv"?
  4. Hi, I have a FreeNAS 11 box, running Ember server 3.2.20.0. I use several client devices via the web app (PCs, mobiles), and generally speaking they all work well. However, the v2.2.2 client running on my UE46ES6900 (SmartHUB version 4.6261-5.0) is very slow at navigating through the Movies section; taking of the order of 2 minutes of render the 3 rows of 8, and taking many seconds to react to a cursor movement. I wondered if this was a known issue, or if there was something I could do to help identify the cause? Thanks, Shaheed
  5. Hello, friend Luke, All right? I installed App Sansung on the client's TV (UN32D5500), but the movie covers do not appear in the TV app How do I fix it? Another question, is it possible to take the direct playback option of the App from the TV so that it transcodes? Because direct reproduction is locking the image and transcoding perfect wheel without lock. Or if you have as direct play to decrease the upload rate for direct play in the tv sansung app, and if that would solve the lock? Thank you one more time Ola amigo Luke, Tudo bem? Ok first of all the important information: TV Samsung: UE40F6500 TV Firmware: T-MST12DEUC-2126.0 Samsung Emby-Client version: 2.2.2 Emby Server: 3.2.17.0 ffmpeg Version: N-52954-g295de3e-static I freshly installed the emby app on my samsung tv. Without transcoding all movies will be played back normal. But when i enable the badwith limit in app settings to a lower bitrate for example 3Mbps it starts to transcode the movie, wich is what i want. With AC3 audio codec everything works fine. But any movie with DTS audio fails to play. TV App Error is "Connection Error" In the server log i can see that the transcoding fails. Here the 2 Files Keep in mind that my default audio track is german. Logs attached and on pastebin https://pastebin.com/41hsR3tV. Any idea? logs.zip
  7. Is the 2013 F series still supported? I have a UN55F6800AF that I followed the instructions here on here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/9869-samsung-smart-tv-2011-2014-app-install-instructions/ When I get to install "Start App Sync" step it returns an error there "Error_developer2". Am I doing something wrong, has there been a change in the install IP address or has the app been discontinued for these older TVs? Thanks,

So my eyes arent the greatest so I tend to use the enlarge icons from 9 to 7 but i noticed when its the 9 icons it just has the basic info about the tv show etc. and looks clean but when you enlarge the icons to show the 7 it puts a whole description about the tv show under the folder and looks rather messy overlapping etc is there a fix for this on my end or is it on your end? my tv is a Samsung UA55H6300 Cheers Added some images to show http://imgur.com/4haOI2z http://imgur.com/JkdVyIO

  10. Some background info first. My mate was having some trouble watching h265 video files on his TV, but they play fine on his media player box. I noticed the linked version of ffmpeg in Emby was very old, so downloaded the latest version and linked to that one. That allows the h265 video to transcode to the TV, however, it seems to have introduced another problem to which I can't find a solution. Previously there has been no problem playing either AC3, DTS or AAC (correctly transcoded to AC3) on his TV. However, with the new ffmpeg installed, it now insists on transcoding anything with DTS to PCM, which sounds rubbish and only sounds like 2 channels. It appears to be something to do with the way the server interprets the video file. We were reinstalling Windows 10 anyway, so the following tests were done on a completely fresh Windows 10 installation, with only system drivers, his McAfee anti virus, Notepad++ and Emby Server installed. I did some testing using a folder containing only one movie. Using the straight Emby installed version of ffmpeg (N-83781-g3016e91), the file transcoded the DTS audio. I removed the movie from the library by deleting the file and running a library scan on the empty movie folder I then downloaded the latest nightly build of ffmpeg (N-85653-gb4330a0), and pointed Emby server to that. I put the movie back and scanned it, and the movie still transcodes DTS audio. I removed the movie again using the same method above I then downloaded an older ffmpeg v2.8, and pointed Emby server to that. I put the movie back and scanned it, and the movie now correctly direct plays the DTS audio. My guess would be that the ffmpeg or ffprobe results from the media scan are different in some way between the older and latest versions of ffmpeg? I've attached server and transcode logs below. I also tried another ffmpeg version (N-79690-g78baa45) between the nightly build and the 2.8 version which didn't give any improvement and still transcoded DTS. Those logs are also included. The latest (last) log contains the successful playback using the 2.8 ffmpeg. Hopefully I've included enough to get some solution. Since it's not my setup, I can't readily provide more information, as I'd need to go to my mates place to get more information if it's anything more complex that looking up something. I'm not even sure if it's a app issue or a server issue, or something external with ffmpeg. Anyway, if someone could take a look through and see if something stands out as a problem, I'd appreciate it. Would like to get some sort of resolution either way before I restore his complete library.     Sound via the Emby App

    Hi I have a Samsung smart TV that i currently use it in the living room. when watching a film, i can barely hear any speech from it. i have to crank up the volume to full some reason and the other action sequence is extremely loud. I then have to watch it using the chrome cast which is absolutely fine. I checked the emby apps sound settings and turned off all DTS AC3 settings, it didn't make any difference, turned them all on obviously it didn't make any difference either. I'm not using any external decoders, just what the tv has built in. media are downloaded from obvious places we know.. but they work fine with other devices, i.e Roku, and emby theatre etc. so i know its something to do with the emby app... it is up to date. it would be nice to use the built in app as much as possible.
  12. Hi there, I am currently switching from Plex to Emby. The main problem right now is, that the Emby App for my Samsung Smart TV is not useable at all. First off. The first start of the emby app shows, that all icons were missing in the menus. (I reinstalled the app several times, no change) But this is not the main problem. I was able to login and get everything configured. Now everytime I want to start a movie (doen't matter if MKV H264 or AVI MP4) the black screen with the "loading" label appears and.... nothing. The movies won't even start. Sometimes I get to see the first frame and then it says something like "Network Disconnected". So I thought my emby setup is broken. I tried it with my chromecast, fire tv stick, android phone and pc, and.... on these devices everything works perfectly. Could it be that my TV is not supported at the moment? Thank you & regards
  13. Hello, I have a UN32H5203AF, I was able to install the app per the instructions. But when I run the app, I get a "loading" screen for approx 10-25 seconds, then I'll get a black screen for another 40 seconds, then what I'll call a splash screen. The splash screen is a picture of the interior of a house??? with v2.2.2 in the lower left hand corner. It just freezes there, it does not go on to the login screen. I know that because I have a different H-series tv that logs in fine. My tv firmware says it is up to date with version 1129, but my other tv is running version 1140. Any suggestions?
  14. I want to go testing Mediabrowser on my Samsung UE55D8000 TV. I have installed the app but after opening it I have to enter the server ip adress. I can't add the numbers and port number because I don't see where the cursor is and when I am in the right box by trying and hit the number 1 on my remote it's a dot and I need to do someting with the blue button. When I dot that the pop up dissapears and nothing happens. The arrow buttons won't allow me to go to the numpad on the right of the screen. Is there an easy way to dot this because I don't want to spend days with entering just a number. Thanks.

Issue description: @@SamES I am in Belgium and I have a Samsung SmartTV UE55D80000, I followed all your instructions but I can not install the application, the TV shows me a message "Network or server interference occured. Please try again later. ". Yet IP address 82.27.106.58 answers when I ping from my computer. And I know this is not a problem with my TV or my internet connection since I installed the Plex application by following the same procedure. Can you help me ?   16. HI, We have a Samsung Smart TV 2012 E series that at one time had installed from the Samsung app store a LiveTV app. (See attached bottom right for app icon). This app is no longer found on the Samsung store and when I select Tools Delete to remove from our TV it is removed temporarily only to reappear each time I restart the Smarthub. * How does one completely remove an app that behaves like this?

    Offline usage of emby App

    Hi, I wonder for a long time why you can not use the emby app on the TV without the Internet if the server is in the local network. This is probably due to the fact that the TV is telephoning much home. The question is, whether someone has ever tried to prevent this, and perhaps also managed. For this one would have to know then which domain names one would have to falsify. Then still which servers the television checks to determine whether it has an internet connection or not. Das ist warscheinlich durch der Tatsache geschuldet, das der Fernseher viel nach hause telefoniert. Die Frage ist, ob schon mal jemand versucht hat dies zu unterbinden, und vielleicht auch geschafft hat. Dazu müsste man dann wissen welche Domainnamen man faken müsste und welche Server der Fernseher prüft, um festzustellen ob er über eine internet verbindung verfügt oder nicht. Und natürlich auch welche Antworten der Fernsehern von den entsprechenden erwartet, und wie man diese mittels eines eigenen Servers simulieren kann. Gruß Ace
  19. Issue description: Did anyone play audio with 2.2.1 inside the GUI? I am not able to get any sound of the app when 1. Playing Movie/Series Music Themes 2. Playing something out of the music library Steps to reproduce: Enter a movie with music theme or play music inside app My TV/HTS/BD Player model number: 55H6270 My firmware version: Latest Other TVs etc. the issue has been reproduced on: - My Emby server version: 3.2.5.2 beta My current Emby Samsung client version: 2.2.1 Other Emby Samsung versions the issue can be reproduced in: 2.2.0, but it worked on christmas because I played music for the family. Supporting information to include logs and pictures where applicable: I am not sure if the error is server or app related. Error Search: 1. First I thought it could be a TV Audio setting, but inside app gui's, the Menu Audio is deactivated 2. Switched off NVENC, but that did not help 3. Turned of HiFi System and used the TV speaker to eliminate errors from TV to speakers. No success. 3. Totally deinstalled and reinstalled app from scratch with no success. 3. Tried my other clients. On all Tabs and Mobiles + WebClient the Music Themes and Audio works BUT: When I watch a movie, the audio plays correctly inside Emby Samsung app (every supported format). So I checked logs.
