So, in the meantime maybe do as yocker suggested and manually fix them yourself since Tizen can't do it automatically. At least until server adds the capability to rotate incorrectly positioned video files. Then you will be able to watch them.

Try changing the added date inside the nfo files. Make the media you want in the collection to have the oldest added date. Version HDR (.nfo file) <dateadded>2025-06-30 11:58:30</dateadded> Version 1080P <dateadded>2025-06-30 11:58:30</dateadded> Change version HDR <dateadded>2020-06-30 11:58:30</dateadded> Rescan the library. You may have to redo the collection, as well, for this to help. I suspect that the oldest dataadded value may be the media that gets into the collection. Hope that helps.

When I developed this, I did not think if it will work with unsecured servers. My server was behind a secured https address. Someone above in the thread was able to solve this by using a proxy address (https://) from duckdns.org

Juergen, Good point. Try the site and rule out that some of your images have any issues. Also your screen shot of the sample .jpg files looks fine, all the files have the same user and rights ownership. But Linux can create files with different groups or user ownership and different rights. Do an director list and check if some of your images files have different owners, groups or rights which could cause Emby not to be able to reach them. Maybe upload a sample image that fails with Emby. Hope that helps.

Pucal, Working from a tablet or TV is indeed different. The left / right arrow helps with the slider where 1 arrow click is 100ms. If you don't have the arrow keys, then the slider is over sensitive. Shift subs by Frames or ms This can be found by quick math. 1000 / 24 = 41.667ms = 1 frame. If the media is 29.97, then 1000 / 29.97 = 33.367ms = 1 frame. The video changes on each frame. Moving the subs by 100ms can overshoot the sync you want with the video. Steps of 100ms will never be exact. Subs are not audio, so you don't notice as much, but why have values that don't match the video? There is no point. I think a slider or digital input by + - frames is nicer. Also much easier to input with keystrokes. 24fps make subs appear 3 frames earlier: -3 (two keystrokes) -125 (four keystrokes and you have to look up the value.) If you imagine that you may try several settings to see which is best, then you are using two to three times more keystrokes with ms versus frames. If you try 10 settings, then you click 40 to 60 more keystrokes using ms and have to look up every value. Not so nice.

TV's work different to VLC, and in this case the Samsung TV cannot automatically rotate some images. In this case, we need to force it to be rotated on the server. This capability is coming on the server but is not available yet. As soon as it is, the Samsung Emby app will be able to rotate the image correctly

OK I have tried "direct play" settings and it makes no difference - video still playing upside down. Why does the video play perfectly in VLC or any other video app when played directly off my drive and not through EMBY?

OK so can someone please tell me how I know if this is "direct play" or "transcode" as I have no clue. What setting to I tweak please?

That is weird, removed the group access from user home, and everything is playing, hope it stil goes after a restart! oh never mind i was on local access and not through vpn. So no Solution. I will ditch app and keep using web app, until a build fix it. Thanks

Found what was the problem, up to latest versions of android i had given r/w/e only to my user home directory and was working fine for years, today i added the group to home directory permissions , dunno why its working now. that in case it helps someone, but wonder if its an ovelooked config in android app, as its not common to give group full permition to users HOME directory. USER HOME IS PRIVATE! Please take a look on next version, if you need any more data , ask me.
