Considering Kodi's just released the Omega V21.0, would I have to update the addons.xml line to 5.21.0? Or anything above 5.17.0 will do? I left my TV on and Google thought it was an opportune time to update all my apps (I forgot to switch off auto-update when I factory reset the TV a few months back from the last time Kodi sh!t the bed)

Hello, As shown in the attached picture, when there are lots of missing episodes, the Missing Episodes Table view in the Metadata Manager can become quite tedious to use. I think this issue can be solved by adding an option to "Group by series" (In the attached image, I've mocked up one potential place to put the option.)

I'm pretty sure this is not possible but I'll ask any way. I'm changing all my posters to custom images. Right now you have to click through 3 or 4 menus to upload an image of a movie poster. Is there a way to decrease that or add an upload option to the 3 dots menu?

I'm running emby server in docker. The problem I am going to describe occurs on Google TV, Android phone, and web clients (both Chrome and Firefox on Ubuntu Linux). If I play a recording straight through, there is no problem with SRT subtitles. However, if I move around in the recording (for example, moving ahead via the chapters menu), the subtitles are playing for some different part of the video. The subtitles are behind the video, but not as if the subtitles has continued linearly without a jump. I first noticed this with the comskipper plugin (which does seeks to skip commercials), but I have reproduced it without EDL files. The problem does not occur when viewing embedded EIA 608 subtitles. It is a solution that would take a lot of time and work when there are many series and many chapters... As in Plex there are never problems with ASS subtitles or any other type of subtitle, it plays all of them On the other hand, Emby cannot do the same...

Can anyone help me figure out why this is happening? It's on Windows, at first I thought maybe my machine was updating and restarting which would need my password to actually start windows and then start emby, but that's not it. Every day or two, I'll go to watch something and it won't work because the server isn't running. The computer hasn't restarted (I have emby as a startup app anyway), all other programs are still running fine. Of the files below, 355 is apparently when it was running. I complain a lot, but truthfully I'm exasperated as I've been asking the Emby devs for audiobook support since October 2017, which is four years before Audiobookshelf ever existed. So when a dev here says "Why do you think it doesn't work well?" that just hits home how they never used it for that before. Making separate feature requests for individual improvements at this stage is like picking what color paint to use on a house with no electrical wiring or plumbing. Sure, it works as a shelter but it doesn't have the necessary amenities. If the person building it never actually uses it enough to notice what's missing, there's no way they can know what people who do use it actually want. Plain and simple, audiobook functionality on Emby is ugly and barebones for a lot of reasons, and it won't improve until the devs actually use it to listen to audiobooks. Meanwhile:

I still am not convinced it is pinging my NetPVR server on my pc, I don't believe the plugin has such a dependency. Regardless, I have only 5 OTA channels of approximately 41 that I receive via antenna, so if it is doing "something", somehow to identify my, it is clearly not accomplishing the stated goal. Yes I do. Maybe I should just use that and forget Emby LOL

See description above for details... I added a new - never used tag called xyz to the user's block list. It had no effect and that user could still see all versions of Peter and the Wolf. I then went to a different title and added the xyz tag to its metadata (="Active" in use somewhere on the server). At that point the user could no longer see more than 2 of the versions of Peter and the Wolf. I went back to the other title and removed the xyz tag, meaning that no title on the server had that tag in its metadata (= "inactive" / not used anywhere). The user still could not see more than 2 versions of Peter and the Wolf. (I.e. it did not revert to its original behavior once the xyz tag was removed from the other title.) If the xyz tag was removed from the user's block list all versions were visible. If the xyz tag was re-added to the user's blocklist only 2 versions were visible even though the xyz tag was no longer in the metadata for any title on the server. If any tag that has been used in any title's metadata at any time (and doesn't need to be currently used anywhere) is present in a user's block list, then that user cannot see more than 2 versions of a given title on my server (in any client - Web, Roku, Android). Any number of tags in a user's block list that have never been used in any metadata it is OK and the user can see all versions available for a title, but once one or more tags that have ever been used in metadata (even if currently not present in any metadata) are included in a user's block list, that user can only see 2 versions available for a title, even though all versions of that title have no tags in their metadata (separated or grouped).

When Emby logs into NextPVR, it gets back a flag saying whether or not a donation has been registered on that NextPVR server. Emby then use that flag to determine what channels to give you. As emveepee suggested, the logs would be able to tell us more.

What do they ask when they call, to identify me, there is no common linkage.

@phulteendo you have NextPVR server installed ?

The two servers are connected by http and one of the API calls determines the donation state. If you post the Emby or NextPVR logs we can check the session.login call. The NextPVR server doesn't really care if you are an Emby user.

If you're doing it off your PC you can try Lossless Scaling in steam. There's an anime4k option that is probably what youre looking for since most anime is 1080p. YMMV but you can at least return it on steam if it doesn't work.

The NextPVR app where I made the donation and the Emby app where the NextPVR plugin is used and constrained by EMBY are completely separate, how does Emby make this determination? (They have not.) They have no way to link my donation from a separate app to their app. I don't see that they're making an inquiry of NextPVR as per my donation, if so, what criteria would they use to identify me as an Emby user being the same as a NextPVR user? FYI, I have restarted the Emby server and refreshed guide data countless times. I think the answer is that Emby is not able to fulfill this advertised feature.
