Well, I guess you could say I fixed this issue. I found a thread where someone wanted to get rid of all the cached images on their server. So I removed all the images only in the imagecache folders and the problem is now gone. So I don't know what the deal was. Maybe when the option was turned on, and I decided I wanted those images locally, turning off that option doesn't delete those images. It just takes and new images are put in the directory with the media file. Anyway, the problem is now resolved.

The non Android TV app does appear to not be affected by this. I will have to test more and make sure if does not cause any other problems. Thank you. Is one app supposed to replace the other at some point or are both existing alongside each other for the foreseeable future?

The TV Naming article has been updated. Thank you for providing the examples and notes. I have included almost all. For a few explanatory text statements, I felt it unnecessary to add that level of detail. I have looked into this and I think it is ok. I tried your example for Seinfeld with a Special at the series level and one for Season 2. The fact that all the specials show in the Specials section, I think is ok. Ignore the actual images showing for the specials. They are from the actual video files which were just dummy media files and not the actual specials. Also I do not think we need to mention this level of detail it in the support articles.

Since it is direct playing this sounds like an issue with the browser video player. For what it's worth, our installed apps come with a more robust video player embedded that can handle more types of files.

Hi, sorry, I don't quite understand. What do these screenshots tell us? You're showing us a picture of two folders in Emby, right? Should something else be there, or are you asking why there is a folder icon?

I think i have actually finally, finally gotten the cache to work precisely like i want. In short: Huge performance improvement, no more slow downs when entering the TV show libraries so. Any one willing to help test this and report back on the performance? EmbyIcons.dll

Hello I am noticing that I am unable to rewind or fast forward when I play a movie from the Emby app on both Android and Android TV. On the other hand it work always fine on the PC\Chrome browser and also works perfectly on any Android device using the Chrome browser So... same Android device, FF\REW do not work by the app, but work by the Chrome browser Even if I am noticing such strange bahaviour just now, while I am using Emby since years and years... anyway I update the Emby server version to 4.8.11.0 but no improvement Thanks embyserver (1).txt

I think so, because these all the same Codec (H264) not different Codecs and SBS...

Hey @Lukeis this setting option something in the works or with any kind of ETA? I have checked periodically for updates but figured I would ask directly I love Emby but if this change isn't likely to happen any time soon I'm going to have to find another solution... And I really don't want to!

Right from the GUI. Metadata Manager/TV Shows/Shows/The Rookie/External IDs. I had to go to IMDB/MovieDB/TheTVDB to search and get the correct IDs. FYI - Zap2it may be dead (sold and new owners appear to have retired it) When I ran Identify (IIRC) I tied just a couple of the external IDs,. I assumed if it didn't work with one the logic would be consistent no matter how many I used.

That's what was happening. The Rookie/Season01/The Rookie S01E01 Pilot.mkv /The Rookie S01E02 "tile".mkv /etc ... I changed the external IDs (3 main ones) to the correct IDs Ran a metadata refresh w/replace pics Metadata/pics showed The Rookie: Feds Tried again with identify - same result. The only way I was able to get it to work was to change the name of the top folder to The Rookie (2018), then metadata refresh.
