I still have the same issue with fast forward and rewind, and I also have not touched my settings in a very long time. I would say in 3 years at least and then the changes had nothing to do with fast forward or skip ahead. I have reinstalled Emby Theater in hopes that could be the issue but it had no impact.

No problem! I also have the Star Wars trilogy (2004 Special Edition) as SD version (PAL DVD), ripped to *.mkv. These have the same amount of chapters, and those images are all there, as far as I can tell (I will verify that later). Maybe it's really not the amount of chapters alone...

I looked at Emby, I thought it was a bit more 'polished' than Plex, I was an early adaptor of Plex, been using it since its inception with a lifetime pass, whilst Plex has worked well for me, they have become a bit stale, not much change, so I thought I would load up Emby and have a closer look, I liked how it presented and looked and felt much cleaner, but I have found some things that need to be addressed by Emby, the above with the Apple TV app being a real problem for me.... the good thing is, I'm sharing my file repositories with both Plex and Emby, so its no real issue to run them both, which is what I'm doing for now... I use Sonarr and Radarr to keep all my files in check, so this helps both Plex and Emby... I also run these on Ubuntu Linux, hope this helps

Thank you for doing this test - with only 12 chapter images to extract the logs do show completion without error The logs show that with 50 chapter offsets for image extraction, the process failed after 32 and after 34 and after 38 completed image extractions. Will need to establish if it is to do with the number of chapters or size of the video file or combination of both. This shows the analysis of the logs

So, after some tests I might have found a solution for the Nord problem, not sure if it is a fix or just temporary. Long story (of trial and error) short, changing Custom DNS within NordVPN desktop app to Google's 8.8.8.8 or Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 seems to be working (with split tunneling disabled) No more connection errors in Emby logs so far after some library scans and the VPN turned on systemwide. Thank you guys for all the help, just one final question and we could close this topic as solved: Is my setup odd or should I leave it as is (DDNS domain and reverse proxy on NAS -> Emby Server on Windows -> back to NAS to grab media on mounted drives) or it would be more efficient to use reverse proxy directly on the same Windows machine aa Emby Server? embyserver.txt

@LukeI have the same ImageProcessor errors and I also have my network share that require username and password (my Emby server is on Windows and my media are on Synology NAS). I have mapped the drives in Windows Explorer with the password and username and Emby sees it and plays all files with no problem. But when I try to change actor's profile picture by using magnifying glass it goes blank (I have to first delete the picture and then use the magnifying glass for this to work). How can I solve this to get rid of this errors? Logs attached. embyserver.txt

Hi, I don't know if you've changed anything recently that could be causing this, but recently the Emby app will crash (back to Roku homepage) randomly. Sometimes it does it when starting a program, other times it will do it when finishing one program and going to the next. Any thoughts? Thanks

thank you for the confirmation about the one image per person limitation. given this constraint, how should we approach building the feature that requires multiple images for each character? would you emby team be willing to add role images linking support in the database? or would something like a reverse proxy in front of the main server required and which changes the primary image id from the content to something unique for the character image and serve it from the reverse proxy(i have no clue how much performance this would cost using a reverse proxy)?

Hello everyone, I've mounted resources from my cloud drive onto an Emby server using WebDAV. Currently, the Emby server can scrape and display posters normally. However, there are occasional playback failures when using the client. Upon checking the logs, it seems to be due to abnormal file processing on the server side. I'm not sure if this is related to WebDAV. From what I've observed, using the Emby iOS client seems to encounter more errors. VidHub client works better, but once an error is triggered using the Emby iOS client, VidHub client playback also fails inevitably. Moreover, after some time, playback seems to resume normally. I'm not sure if this is related to some kind of reset mechanism on the Emby server. Additionally, the MediaProbeManager often throws errors when executing the ffprobe command. I believe this is related to WebDAV, but I'm unsure if it's related to this playback issue. embyserver.log

Yes I have it working because I use it remotely myself(on my phone), just trying to figure out Emby Connect now so I can eventually migrate my Plex users over to Emby if I can figure this Emby Connect thing out myself.

Hi, I am looking to maybe replace Roon with my emby server I have a streamer/dac the fiio R9 which is roon ready and on android so i also can get emby for android on it. So with Emby Any flac/wav files are played with no issue but when it come to dsd files i just get an error. is there a way to have emby for android to play dsd files? thank you

Have you already got Emby working using remote access without Connect? That has to be in place first; unlike Plex, Emby doesn't funnel anything through their servers - Emby is basically just a lookup service. https://emby.media/support/articles/Remote-Setup.html Paul

You have created a really great program! I set up my hi-fi board so that I could integrate it well. I also organised a small mini-computer and bought an old used monitor. I had converted the individual wooden elements from an old farmhouse cupboard into this board. Thanks to your program, I was able to give my small home cinema an extra touch that not everyone has. A really great visual upgrade! Can I still suggest an improvement? How about displaying the remaining playing time instead of the playing time? Include the icons for new sound formats (DTS:X and Atmos) and image formats (Dolby Vision)? Perhaps hide the time/date in the top right-hand corner (the time is now displayed on thousands of other devices)? Instead of the time, perhaps a slimmed-down version for the statistics for nerds to show the bitrate of picture and sound? If you could provide a PayPal account for your coffee fund, I'd be right there to donate something (or a small Amazon voucher). I'm so happy with this program. Hi, I've been using Emby for a while now but I'm wondering what does the stream info mean, when there is barely any info I mean. Sometimes it's clear it's streaming in the file's full bitrate, for example, 1mbps or 900kbps But sometimes there is no info at all. And sometimes it just says "Direct Play" and nothing else. Is it not playing with full bitrate like it's supposed to? It's happening when streaming on both the internal network and over the internet I should also probably mention the server is running on an Android device

I did that now the server shows up, but when I try and connect it times out. When you add an an Emby Connect e-mail address to a local account what gets advertised back to your Emby Connect as in server details? I'm sort of getting the impression an ip adress with the default 8096 port? Is there a way to change that for when you are running Emby through a reverse proxy?
