Is emby tv no longer compatible with Android 5.0 matar 6a928 after ver
ZCXZXC posted a topic in Android TV / Fire TV
Dear developers, does emby tv 1.8.5.29 no longer support Android 5.0? Recently, I installed emby tv 2.0 and later versions. All decoding on my letv x3 was catastrophic and especially laggy, and the decoding color was abnormal. Using version 1.8, the h265 hevc source decoding was normal again. Or does it no longer support Android 5.0's matar 6a928...? But what's even more strange is that if you use a third-party player to play these 4K HDR 10 HEVC, it's normal again? Is the exoplay decoding library upgraded after emby tv 2.0? Has it abandoned Android 5.0's matar 6a928? I checked a lot of information, but I can't find the reason. There is basically no compatibility after emby tv 1.8? Does exoplay call the Android 5.0 decoding library, or does exoplay come with its own decoding library? Can it be used in the next emby tv Can versions after 2.1 be compatible with the old Android 5.0 matar 6a928? Or can emby tv set 4K source to automatically hard decode to 1080P settings to improve the compatibility of the old system? -

That above my head. I use emby through a Android box into my TV, I don't have a working computer and access this through my phone.

Clash of the Titans [2010] metadata showing up as the 1981 version lol
Luke replied to SynesthesiaBruh's topic in MacOS
If moviedb is your highest priority metadata fetcher then I would put the Tmdb id into the filename, not the imdb id. -

Playback error, no compatible streams available
Happy2Play replied to Riptide126's topic in General/Windows
Since this is a per client setting this if from the client you are having an issue with correct? But with this being a LAN connection I don't really understand why there 4Mb limit is applied. @Lukeis that the default fallback for this client on Auto? I guess one could test changing from Auto to a higher quality to see if playback changes. -
Just installed Emby tonight.. 4.8.3.0 how to upgrade?
jkdebuhr replied to jkdebuhr's topic in FreeBSD
been awhile, but I finally got back to this.. it is now at the latest.. I used this: iocage console EMBY JAIL NAME HERE service emby-server stop pkg update pkg upgrade pkg install -f DEPENDENCIES LISTED ON https://emby.media/freebsd-server.html pkg add -f LINK TO VERSION OF EMBY TAKEN FROM https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.Releases/releases/ service emby-server start exit and got it to the latest version on TrueNAS. -

I attached a photo of my settings, it says that I do have home network quality set to auto, unless there is a different setting you guys are talking about -

long time to login, then have to select user after failure
Luke replied to justinrh's topic in General/Windows
Hi, what did you update it to, and what happened after that? Are you sure you actually need to customize this option? The vast majority of users do not. -
Right putting the id in the folder would solve the metadata clash, but of course, you'd still have two collections due to the data coming from MovieDb.
-
Hi, it is resolved in the next app update. Thanks.
-
Yes and no as Emby cannot display this correctly as there is only one folder in Collections. So per your previous comment only adding providerid to collections would work in this specific case. But in the end I believe correcting this on TMDB is the correct answer.

Here's an updated version of the nfo metadata plugin with album and artist nfo support enabled: NfoMetadata.zip It solves a couple issues I found with the initial run a couple days ago. Thanks. - Today

HI, what album folders do you mean exactly? Can you show a screenshot example? -
I upgraded my Qnap emby server, but cannot log by website then
Luke replied to Tenie's topic in QNAP
Hi there, what was the solution? -
Oh wait, the answer is in the nfo snippets above. Two different movie db collection id's. So not really an Emby defect if that's the data coming from MovieDb. It just needs to be fixed up manually afterwards.

@zillonptplease let us know if this helps. Thanks !

HI, how are your files named and organized?
-
I have narrowed this down to specific channels and it only seems to be happening on Roku. Here is a screen shot I see when I try to launch it and then it just disappears. Never loads.
-
So the physical media is different than what it was Identified as. So you do not have the movies you thought you did. You will need to Manually Identify this media as what it actually is. Or renaming it to something else maybe with providerid id. Movie Naming | #id-tags-in-folder--file-names I will guess do to generic folder/filename got wrong metadata from provider. This is why I ask for structure and naming.

I found a solution for my problem, maybe it can solve yours. Go see my Topic for how I solved it :

@zillonptper linked topic. Is your jail up to date?

Sounds like version requirements/dependencies need to apply to updates to this platform.
