is it possible to disable emby proxing?

Hi all! I am looking for an API endpoint where I can list all IDs of TV Shows or Movies in a library. I have looked at the docs, swagger.emby.media, and Googled and can't find anything to enumerate this data. For context, I want to develop a small companion tool to dynamically manage collections based on metadata of TV shows and movies. For this to work, I need to iterate over each show or movie in a library, parse the data and add matching items to collections. Apologies in advance if this is an `ID10T` error. Thanks!

From the Synology side my understanding is I just need to open the right port, so funnelling a subdomain to that port should work. I'm just not sure how to go about adding an additional subdomain/port to the given config.

Everyone is very helpful and I'm truly appreciative, but in my Emby web client that I configured this weekend, the place to enter that information does not exist, I have looked everywhere, and the settings for NextPVR say, "This plugin has no settings to configure." Unless it's in some nook or cranny I haven't found or others are using a different server or client, I think everyone may be thinking the same thing I did when I made the NextPVR donation, that the instructions were correct and I could just go where they said that option would be and enter the information. But that was the first, second and third through 50th thing I have tried. If someone has actually seen this option in the current Emby version, please let me know where you have actually currently seen it. Thanks!

Luke, that's a point for Emby, but at this time the Emby for tv app is not good enough, not loading every item from the library while browsing 7 times out of 10, only show 0-F or 0-L, the ABC for fast search is really missing. I love Emby, its beautiful, but one point for Plex is loads for everything 10 times out of 10 but one point for Emby is, Plex with Apple TV (last generation with ethernet) couldn't play dolby vision mp4 files directly

i saw other sent log file ,it quite hard to me to get log from another house. Can i just explain the problem ? .my mom said it cannot fast forward too much otherwise its show no picture and for some videos the picture is stuck ,it seem that video still playing without picture both happen when fast forward beyond the buffer of video.

Try disable QuickSync and only use vaapi. I had some issues when using QS, but worked great with only vaapi. I don't have the same GPU as you, so can't be sure.

Thanks for the response! Hilariously I actually got the Arc as I was having issues without it and thought it might help! Same issues without it unfortunately. I will get some users to try different quality settings to see if it make a difference. What is odd is, the issues persisted on different clients, say browser vs emby ios/android or emby windows.

OK that's strange. One thing you could try is removing your movies library altogether, running a scan of all libraries to clean out the database, and then adding it back.

Odd as it was deleting files on my system (during testing), I did have an issue at first where it wasn't deleting files, however this was a permissions issue for me as on my system the files are owned by user: media and group:media while emby runs as user:emby and group:media and while the group has the same permission to the files as the user does so should have been able to delete them this wasn't working on mine, however I changed emby to run as user:media and this seemed to have been working the last time I checked. However I use sonarr and radarr to delete them on my system as that notifies emby of the deletion, where as deleting them in emby didn't notify sonarr/radarr so they thought the show still had files until I manually rescanned the show. When im able to I'll do some testing with the different endpoints and see if I can find a solution for you

In those cases, you are logging into a single account which is remembered; then freely switching between users of that account. There isn't an expectation that the user profiles require further authentication to switch to. With emby, each individual user has seprate authentication as it's a separate account; and it's long been the norm that unchecking 'remember me' means the account/user will not be logged in anymore once the app has closed. Then there's the discontinuity between apps where there's one behavior in some places but a very different behavior in ohers. Spit balling an example here: I don't use android tv or Roku, so I'm not familiar with their differing functionality. Before this conversation; if I had gone to a friends house to watch a movie and they had an android tv, I would have just downloaded the app and signed in to my server+user but made sure to not check 'remember me'. My expectation here would be that I can now close the app and it will no longer be logged into my user. Especially as this is the behaviour of the apps I do use. I may have double checked that it had signed out and/or manually signed out, just because I'm careful, but I may not have. If not, my account would no longer be secure.

Not yet, no. After signing up and installing Tailscale on my server PC & my mobile then copying the Tailscale assigned IP to the external domain of the server PC, I can access the web interface for the server PC remotely from my mobile but not via the Emby app. And audio playback via the web interface is broken; no dialogue comes through.

With netflix you login once on a device then it brings to to the page to select profile then pick your show or movie

The subsequent email (on the same day) told you that your needed to make sure the donation was registered in NextPVR, by clicking on the 'have you donated' button in the NextPVR web app, and entering your paypal transaction id or email address (both of which I supplied in the email). Once this is done, it should correctly list you as a donator. After that refreshing the channels in Emby should give you the complete list of channels.

Hi quickmic - Just wondering if you have been able to look into this issue regarding the cache. I have tested with the latest 10.0.19 version and deleted files still are not removed from the dynamic nodes file list until I restart Kodi. Also, let me know if I should move this request to the other forum thread for 10.X testing.

You need "emby", but probably also the user end point that is mentioned in the other thread that you've posted in.

You have to remember Emby will search folder name not filename. Filename is only used in a flat structure environment.
