Ok, pretty sure I solved this. Looking at the logs again, I noticed the Live TV stopped when /var/lib/emby/transcoding-temp got full. That led me to analyze my disks and file system. Turns out that I had the problem described here; https://packetpushers.net/blog/ubuntu-extend-your-default-lvm-space/ During my install of Ubuntu, I accepted the defaults, which did not use all the available space for the root partition which made it easy for transcoding files to use all the free space. After extending my LVM, now my Use% is 20%, instead of 91% like it was before. No crashes since.

With 4.8, everything has reverted to software transcoding. I have no idea why. Settings are identical. My system was running fine, on 10.0.22, but something happend I was getting double listings in every library, so I reset the database and now it doesn't even see all my libaries. I am still investigating. Everytime I try to install 10.0.22, Kodi crashes. !0.0.24 shows up, but installing it, doesn't show all of my libraries to sync, missing pretty much everything. The offical 9.4.2.1 also doesn't see all my libraries. Only a single "library'

Those are likely Date Created - what does Date Modified column show?

Thanks you too! It works now, I used binhex-emby as far as I can recall and moved to the official emby - at the time I didn't see it. I just changed the owner of the files and it worked directly without loosing any configurations or data.

The last tested version was 9.X but it doesn't support Kodi 21.X 10.0.22 should work (but never tested with Emby 4.7). You need to send me a kodi.log for review. However, why are not updating you Emby server? Stable is 4.8

Run another Scan Media Library right after and compared the results. The same nfo files are marked as 'changed' (i.e. Dexter or Rome ) and Emby is rewriting them (although my file manager shows the date that these nfo files are original from the time I added the series) . @quickmicI really do not need you help me trouble shoot via logs. If you have version control, if you could let us know what was the last plugins supported for server 4.7, that would be very helpful. I hate to waste your time troubleshooting 4.7 issues as they all belong to me to do. I just want to get back to a stable state with Omega 23, and I think it was 10.0.0.22??? You keep changing everything on the page one of this thread which I understand, but version control is out of control. I hope you do not take offense, as that is not intended whatsoever. Nothing is synching even when restoring to a backup. None of my libraries are show up, but again, I do not want to waste your time. Just need to know the last support files for server 4.7 and will keep banging at it. Restoring from my backup, I keep getting "Your access to Emby is restricted".

No idea how to do that, as it only gives me 'up-to-date' 'latest' on my docker info and then when I connect to 'more info' I get a 404 error

For reference, I have many seasons of The West Wing, and on the same page pictured above for that show, it lists 45 minutes. But if I scroll down and select the specific episode, it shows 43 minutes which is the length of that particular episode. Where does the 45 minutes come from?

The library setting yes the Collections library no is not a bug as it the library was removed in new installs. So if that is not the case you need to explain more on specific issues as your image applies to library not shown in My Media. 1) New install and is not being created per current design 2) Or metadata does not exist to create the library per library setting. 3) Library is hidden per user setting on Home Screen settings Does Collections show in Library Order on Home Screen Settings?

Here are the tests I performed using a web client. I'm running server 4.9.0.22 beta. 1) I selected a Genre and clicked Shuffle at the "top": a playlist got generated after a few seconds. PASSED 2) Within the Genre, I clicked Shuffle from both the Albums and Songs pages. In both instances EmbyServer consumed a third of my CPU for several minutes before a playlist got generated. FAILED I also performed a test on my Google TV Chromecast by doing a Shuffle from a Genre. It was very fast at generating a playlist and play the first song. PASSED

I just disabled it and will pay attention to see if the issue persists. Thanks for a possible fix.

The most resent non-beta server on shield as well as on Synology dsm 7.2. On my Synology server, the collections show up in „my media“. Unfortunately, this is not the case for shield server. This seems to be a server-side bug.

Sorry the Collections library via My Media it totally different issue and totally unrelated to this topic (I guess it could be from a metadata standpoint). But what server version are you as it was removed in new installs of 4.8? But don't remember if it has been ported to a maintenance release or not yet as it doesn't appear in release notes for 4.8.x.x.

I'm officially loosing my mind over this. I thought maybe Syncthing is messing with, I don't know, timestamps so they seem new to Emby (I sync my whole libraries'' jpg, srt and nfo files to external drive, just in case something happens - but still, these are Send Only) but nothing changed and besides, I also sync other movie libraries but they scan normally . Than I deselected all ticks from TV Shows library and run the scan; that took 30 seconds. Than I ticked metadata for TVDB for episodes and seasons, library scan, 30 seconds. What a bug!! Even when I use a different client, I can not get what I want: "Collections" are still missing in the main menu and only shown in the "movie" submenu. See attachment: no collection shown. Also in the libraries, "collections" is NOT shown!

Not sure what happened with the TMDB id as it shows I was the last to edit the metadata. But as for all the rest being empty yes that is normal as it talks someone to populated it if the fields even apply. But it cannot provide wrong info if it doesn't exist, but since you have an account I would just readd the properid.
