I have a Nvidia GTX 1050 that handles hardware transcoding. The problem is that a transcode to burn in subtitles needed by the Roku client causes hardware transcoding to be disabled. And my CPU is not fast enough for software transcoding

This is the same example as before - I'm trying to get images for the Piano Guys and the Piano Guys 2 CDs. Now after updating it won't even let me search for a new image. I attached today and yesterday's logs. embyserver.txt embyserver-63851182366.txt

Unsure if this is helpful, but the worst buffering happens at the start and end. The end especially seems to be very bad. I added a some transcodes that were really bad, but doesn't seem like anything out of order? Just keep using the original version if everything is working fine for you.

Is it bad that I am still using the original v1.0.0.0 without issue? Would it make sense to update to v1.0.0.9 or leave well enough alone if it's still grouping my 1080p & 4k like is want it to? My only use case for this is that I have a separate folder for 1080 and 4k. I always hated searching for movie "x" and there being 2 copies showing up in Emby.

Just something to add to this. I've been making sure the NAS is awake before I try and open the app on the TV by browsing to a folder on the NAS on my PC first. But my other half tried to watch something today and she didn't think about the issue at all and got the dreaded "got it" button. She asked me what to do and while talking about it we must have left it long enough that the NAS fully woke up so when she finally clicked the got it button, it showed the usual connection options instead of the website. So I guess the solution is to just wait a while before clicking the "got it" button. That's better than turning the TV off and on again.

Setting up an Emby server for me sounds like a blast! For your needs, Hetzner seems like a solid choice. As for the server, I'd go with one that has decent CPU power and RAM to handle transcoding.

Yes - but you are also potentially not the Admin on Netflix or Amazon either , nor can you remain logged in with 'multiple accounts' active - there is always some form of authorisation when you re-load the app. I get emby are trying to limit the impact of the 'no password' for local accounts - but you simply cannot mislead users into retaining credentials/tokens that, given the direct wording, you have been explicitely been asked not to. If storage/re-use of the credentials is implied (which I believe it is on an app such as this, I agree here) then any tick box is going to be for deviating from that implied logic. ie do NOT save my credentials, informing (not implying) that you will need to login again next time. If you don't have any box at all - then saving them is implied - and that is fine.

Any news on this issue? I am in the same situation unfortunately. If this is not fixed soon it will be a deal breaker for me, I'll have to cancel my Premier subscription and move to something else - maybe it's time for Jellyfin

Well, I'm just asking because ATV now supports decoding of some DV streams natively. That's how Infuse got their player to support a broader range of DV files.

Ya revisé todos los discos y están ok, después de probar de todo parece que ya funciona bien. Creo que el problema era que cuando hay varios elementos que no consigue identificar parece que se vuelve loco y el escaneo dura muchísimo más, casi diría que a veces ni termina, está días enteros escaneando. Por cierto quería preguntar también como hacer que una vez que elijo las imágenes de una película no cambien nunca? las portadas cambian a veces por otras que no he elegido yo, es normal?

Hi, yes currently that is how the extras get displayed, although this may change in future updates.

It’s not an issue of reachability. It’s an issue of browser requirements and restrictions for https. When you use the hosted web app over https, the browser will not allow you to connect to your Emby server over plain http. They just don’t allow that anymore. so that’s not a bug per se but rather that you have to pick one of the four options in the bullet points.
