Hello, I would like to report something that doesn't work properly. It's about the "delete after reading" fonction At the end of the tvshow or movie, the window popup appears, but after few seconds it desepear before I've got enought time to select yes or no. Would it be possible to add some seconds, or totaly remove this delay because we have finaly the choise between yes or no ? There is another thing with this option, I use to stop movie before credits, and some times the pop up window doesn't appears because it's not the end of movie. Would it be possible to make the pop up windows appears at 70 or 80 per cent of movie or tvshow instead of 95 or 100 per cent ??? Thank you and sorry for my bad english ! Hello, I'm having the same problem. Scanned in a video today and it ended up no where near the Latest Releases. Emby created the .nfo, and from what I can determine, it seems like Emby is switching the month and date values. Today is 01.05.2024 in Denmark, that's day 1, month 5, year 2024, as shown by Windows. But Emby sets 01/05/2024 as scanned in date, and if you pop up the timepicker, it shows January 5. 2024, that is month 1, day 5, year 2024. This started happening sometime around the 4.8.? update, so something must have changed in that timeframe. Best regards

Appreciate it. Trying to figure out what that user endpoint is, given I copy and paste the cURL command that's created by Swagger. Swagger executes the API call just fine but copy and paste of the cURL command (for execution locally) fails in exactly the same way as described. Anyway, I'll cease with the rude double-posting. I didn't realise amateurgod had already been discussing this until after I posted in this thread. Seems more appropriate to continue the conversation there.

Ordinarily, I would allow Sonarr and Radarr to manage that for me too but those are riding on my seedbox whilst the Emby server is on-premise with no connection to them, so I can watch directly off the NAS instead of stream over the internet. I appreciate you looking into this. For me, it was reporting that it would not do anything with the episode in question, per my example below. When browsing through music folder in Carplay app in iPhone, the clicked music item doesn’t play. Instead, an item that is different but in the same folder plays.

I tried every option including VAAPI and for both, their tone mapping algorithms.

Try with vaapi enabled, to see if it works with that.

Hi All, I know this is an old post but I just went through this problem with TMM and Emby recently I wanted to share my solution. There appears to be no way to force Emby to use the certifications that are exported by TMM and in TMM there are some different variations in the formatting but for some reason not the correct formatting for Emby for UK certifications. So to get around this i did the following. 1. In TMM select the Certification format of Medium Simple 2. Run your search and scrapes so the nfo files are generated 3. Edit and run the Powersehll scripts i wrote. Attached The scripts are intended to run in Windows /Poweshell and are expecting the following directory structure - movies - movie1 movie1.mp4 movie1.nfo - tvshows - tvshow1 tvshow.nfo - season1 ep1.mp4 The scripts will go through your mapped drives to your media that you declare in the scripts and find the nfo files. It will then find/replace the mpaaa certification entry to match what TMM exports it as and then replace it with what Emby requires. Example. if ($nfoContent -match "<mpaa>GB: ") { $newContent = $nfoContent -replace "<mpaa>GB: ", "<mpaa>GB-" $newContent | Set-Content $nfo.FullName Add-Content $logFile -Value "Changed: $($nfo.FullName)" Im sure that these will work with other country certifications as well but i have not tested them. The scripts run through my movies (2000) in about 20 mins and Tv shows (200) in about 10 mins. Worked perfectly. I recently got my hands on a Intel ARC A380 GPU. It works perfectly fine for when i disable Tone Mapping altogether, tho when i enable Hardware Accelerated Tone Mapping and choose *any* of the options (preferable Intel QuickSync for me), it doesn't use the GPU anymore for transcoding and fully falls back to CPU transcoding (Which is bad because my VM only got 4 CPU cores, which spike to 100% for transcoding). I have been using curl to validate endpoints and their schema. e.g. curl -X GET "http://<IP-ADDRESS>:8096/emby/Shows/290934/Episodes?api_key=${EMBY_TOKEN}" I have been able to get valid responses, so I know the API is accessible in my environment and I can validate against it. What I want (in an ideal world) would be able to hit an endpoint like: curl -X GET "http://<IP-ADDRESS>:8096/emby/libraries/tv_shows/entries?api_key=${EMBY_TOKEN}" and get a response like: { "TV Shows" : [ { "Title" : "foo", "ID" : "1234", "Genre" : "Comedy", "Studio" : "HBO" }, { "Title" : "bar", "ID" : "4321", "Genre" : "Drama", "Studio" : "Netflix" } ], "page" : 1, "pages_total": 15 } A single API call per 'page' of library entries would be ideal. I could then enumerate over the pages and parse the data in weird and wonderful ways, but I know this may not be possible. I would be happy with a way to query what is in my TV Shows or Movies library and have it return the IDs of the shows and movies in them. Is this possible? Thank you!

I'm currently using audio transcoding because my 5.1-channel home theater system is old and only has an optical audio jack, so I have to transcode audio from all formats to ac3 so that any 5.1-channel audio track would come out as that. (The videos are found in an Emby server, and the videos played in an Android TV box with Kodi and the Emby addon installed.) I found two ways to do this: Method 1: Set the Kodi audio setting to default, then activate both passthrough and let the receiver transcode to AC3. Method 2: Set the Kodi audio setting to 5.1, etc., (I think), activate passthrough (the transcode option will disappear because the audio's set to 5.1), and then in the Emby addon settings transcode all audio codecs (you can probably leave AC3 and DTS). I noticed that with videos using things like AAC-LC for the audio codec, the sound is still soft for Method 1, so it looks like Method 2 is better. For Method 2, I notice the ff. Sometimes, the video would stop after around 9-15 minutes. I notice that the problem disappears if I enable hardware acceleration and/or disable throttling in the transcoding settings of the Emby server. Next, when I fast forward or fast rewind the video, the player tends to go haywire, jumping back and forth, usually far ahead in time. I have to keep skimming back and forth until I reach the correct spot. This doesn't happen without transcoding. Finally, for some videos, right at the end the player will jump to a few minutes before and replay the remaining minutes once or twice before ending the video. I read an earlier thread saying that it's a problem with the transcoding software, i.e., for some videos it can't get the number of minutes in the video.

Hi @Luke No not really. MY HTPC outputs at 4K resolution via the graphics card so the TV will get a 4K signal so will not upscale. However, the movie is blu-ray HD format so only 1080. Emby Theatre does not upscale so you will see either 1) a small HD window 1/4 size on screen or 2) I can maximise the window but this is not upscaled by Windows so will lose detail and look soft. I cannot see how it could be otherwise as that is what happens when I play a blu-ray disc on my main PC with a 4K monitor the playback is soft if I maximise the window. In the past I used PowerDVD to upscale but that is nolonger an option. I am interested to know: 1) Is it possible to upscale in Emby Theatre from 1080 to 4K? 2) If I used the LG app on the TV does it send Dolby Atmos sound over eARC to the AV Receiver? #2 sounds a option which means I could retire my HTPC. Wait - so if I login to an App and do NOT select 'remember me' - it totally ignores this request and still remembers the password until I forcefully logout ? As @darkassassin07says above - this is not normal behaviour as is extremly misleading ... IF there was not an option to 'remember me' - THEN the behavior is expected - and the resposibility is on the user to logout if they wish to keep their account secure - that approach is fine - but don't offer a user decision and then ignore it !

Yes, DDNS is never going to work if you have CGNAT - DNS will just point to the incorrect WAN IP .. This will be the best solution - as your ISP will move you off CGNAT onto an addressable real public IP. DDNS will then also work or you can of course use a real DNS A-Record also (as the IP never changes).

So, personally have no idea how you can have two NPVR plugins but no NPVR server.

Hi I'm setting up a brand new dedicated server. The main server account is root. I have installed sabnzb and the downloads are saving to /root/Downloads/complete - the default setting of sab. Now the files are downloading to this location but I couldn't see this directory path when setting up Emby library. I'm sure this is a permission related issue but I'm not sure how to fix. So I changed the download folder to /var/ - which was detected by Emby but it's not reading the files inside. I've tried this already as mentioned in my OP. Nothing worked. I haven't touched anything in the emby network menu, so they're at default values (although I've tried to manually set the local IP to no avail). The host machine's LAN IP is not changing but here is a pic if it helps:

Update: Manually inputting the IP address in the Emby app seems to have fixed everything and now there's a buffering issue which may be due to my mobile network. Not a huge fan of setting up the VPN app on many devices to share with others. I'll set it up for friends to diagnose the buffering and then take a call on keeping the VPN service or pulling the trigger on a public static IP.

Oh well, I have no idea what a BO linkage is. As far as I know, which ain't much, like I say you need to have NextPVR server running somewhere, all set up, playing channels (which is where the donation bit is), then feed to Emby. But thats me having everything on the one Windows PC.

Oh sorry, it's a bit of a mess. It should be the Chuck episodes. I realized that I could get rid of the problem by changing my hardware transcoding settings to "Yes" instead of advanced, where I manually picked the decoders and encoders due to an older issue. Everything seems to be working fine now. I don't know what I had selected exactly but it had been working fine since the official release of 4.8 until recently.

Thanks, maybe I should paint the whole picture. NextPVR plugin is a separate instance from the Next PVR plugin in Emby, there is BO linkage between the two. I only went to NextPVR to make the donation, the plugin is not dependent on the standalone NextPVR.. NextPVR knows I made the donation, but Emby is imposing the channel limitation and they need the substantiation of my donation to remove it, but there is no place in the Emby app to provide it, despite what the instructions say to the contrary.

Yes.. At least at serie level. And "read / unread" matching is working between both library.. Then it should also match at episode level.
