So the CPU usage simply freezes at 5% and then it feels like nothing works in Emby anymore.

Oh yes wasn't looking at it from a resource consumption standpoint but was curious if this can trigger a display setting change activity, which would be more from the OS side of things triggering it rather than on the Emby side but with a headless server I'm also unsure how that would be related it just fits in the time span and I wanted to know if the system logged the events. The event message I believe also indicates what the time was before/after the change, and just following the logging I don't see any gaps so if it is changing it's probably a few ms at most. I haven't seen the message in a while but I have seen it before. I would also agree that retriggering the hardware detection shouldn't really be an issue, it completes very quickly.

What I also noticed, however, is that as soon as Emby creates a lot of hardware protocols, the CPU usage sometimes just stays at 5 percent and then Emby becomes very, very slow.

Library converted a Folder to a Title somehow - how to restore?
Luke replied to ImagoX's topic in General/Windows
HI, I don't quite understand. What are you expecting to see? How did you configure the library in Emby library setup? What folder paths are added to it? -
looking at the log file, it indicated an "access denied". So I forced access to the Emby application in the rights of my folder.

That's going to reset the triggers for time based operations like scheduled tasks and live tv recordings. It's not really something that's going to cause resource consumption and so therefore I don't think it needs an option to disable it. As for why his system is firing these events, the answer to that is specific to his environment, so I'm not sure. But yes these could all be related. Having said that, the log covers 11 hours of time, and the number of triggers is not something that I think is going to cause a problem.

Intro überspringen bzw zur nächsten folge Springen geht nicht immer
pünktchen replied to Matrixpro's topic in German
Library converted a Folder to a Title somehow - how to restore?
ImagoX posted a topic in General/Windows
I've been using Emby for about 2 years now and never had a problem till now. I have my media organized on an external HDD in genre folders - 'Horror', 'Drama' etc. Recently (for some reason) Emby Library started reading my 'SciFi / Fantasy' folder as a TITLE (even though it's clearly in the 'Folders' area of the UI??), which messes the display all up. All my other Folders are displaying correctly. (See the attached screenshot - 'SciFi / Fantasy' does NOT have the 'folder' icon at the top left, so when opened the titles don't appear correctly with movie posters). How can I edit the settings for this entity to match the other Folders? Thanks a million in advance! -

Finally the problem is found, it is a problem of access rights for the Emby application

What about time change events in the system log? I don't know if it's related exactly but the timing of it is suspect, it's right before the display setting change events.

Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!

I don't know why, but emby plays some files with too low volume, this can be seen in windows settings, but if I play this file in MPC, the sound is much louder

Emby on Androd TV recommended and recent issues
ebr replied to Hispanico957's topic in Android TV / Fire TV
Well, partially. It has implemented the "Play Next" channel content but not any of the custom channels. However, as I mentioned previously, Google is phasing these out (probably because pretty much no one was using them since they are so hidden) so I'm not sure it is worth us spending the effort on trying to implement them in the standard app. Even "Play Next" is starting to be somewhat hidden in newer versions of Google TV. -

What is the smb path to the webdav mount?
-
We should probably add an option to disable reacting to display settings changes.
-
Fortunately we have Infuse as a workaround otherwise we would have to look for another media server.

This is a request from last year, which I would still love to see implemented for TV, Music, etc. In case you'd like to add +1 for that also.
