You just need to let it finish. Run both a scan media library and scan metadata folder, then Detect Intro's. Assuming you are not changing settings - It should not be scanning again once it has the info locally. (*) Intro detection, depending on cpu and I/O etc can take DAYS. With ~30K episodes and 2K movies - my scan now takes about 40-50 seconds... (*) the Intro detection does not appear to be faultless in this regard - I have noticed it re-scanning some Seasons for some reason - haven't had time to look into it tbh, but it's only doing for a tiny subset.

Dealers choice on the icon, possibly a generic one that could cover all media types might be better. the "Updates" megaphone icon perhaps as ultimately its announcing up and coming content. My "Coming Soon" Library contains movies with a generic coming soon video which is where I put requests prior to fullfillment/release. They are not quite "New Arrivals" or "New Releases" as they are not yet on the system, but i put the placeholders in to remind of what has been requested and so others can see as well watch trailer/read description/actors etc. thanks for considering

From both Stremium and Channels DVR. That is where the tvg-id came from, both matched. The data is there from Gracenote, but since I have to add channel lineups on Emby, I can't find it even though data does exist.

I think what might be happening is that your "People" tab is simply falling off the screen as your slider is already filled with other categories and People being last one there's no more horizontal space. Have you tried: as it appears that slider will keep width upon zoom, maybe People tab will show? 100% 67% Or is there a hardcoded limit on number of categories/tab shown (15, per CBers' case), @Luke?

Just a FYI my problem was fixed by Enable reading and writing of person metadata files under Library and advance settings.

Oh God, my friend. When I upgraded to 4.8.7, the support for PGS subtitles did change. . It is no longer misaligned and floating far away like 4.8.0~4.8.5. but! but! It has returned to the situation in version 4.7. The subtitle jitter will not be fixed, and the display time is incorrect. After this scene, the subtitle is still displayed. . This is a return to the old way. This is really a sad story. I wonder when EMBY will be able to have subtitles like JELLYFIN and PLEX.

Kiss Kiss Love to hear that I do have another thing that came into my mind while using Emby. I have Premiere. I noticed that when you haven't granted the Emby App the permission for storage and you download something for offline access, there is no information. It just prepares the file with the Bitrate (according to web interface, have not looked into the app or server) and that's it. Would be nice to have a warning or alert for this case Also, and that's just a minor idea that I had, it would be nice if there is a 'system' dashboard to see some stats of the server ond certain directories. Like CPU/RAM/Network Load, Kernel / OS Build and some stats about the files. Thanks for the work and I'd love to see more in the future.

Tried Incognito window and on a PC that hasn't ever seen Emby and still no PEOPLE. No worries, not a biggie, just a peculiarity. Something will click one day. Are you running Beta or Stable server? Thanks.

I do not like the fact that, without genre changer, we have so many genre. We even have different names for the same genre like "Science Fiction" and "Sci-fy" and a few others. I use genre cleaner and map every possible genre to one of four. "Drama," "Science Fiction and Fantasy," "Thriller action and adventure" and "Mystery Crime and suspense." To be honest I almost never even look and what genre a movie or TV show is in as it does not matter much to me. There really is only two meaningful "genre" and those are "good" and "Bad" although there could also be a third "OK" where vids that are not too bad but not good enough to be considered good might go. This is one of the things i really like about Emby, you are not locked into using only the provider's opinions. You can use your own. All it takes is a little ingenuity and some time to fix things exactly as you want.

This the official TrueNAS SCALE application, running on Dragonfish. The system has a Xeon E-2124G and 96GB ECC RAM. During the image extraction, free RAM went from 6.6GB to 5.1GB while the ZFS cache increased accordingly. One thread was at close to 100%, the rest of the CPU idle. That's not true, you did NOT use direct play in web playback.
