It looks like you need to review the user settings for this profile because you've disabled any transcoding or remuxing - the key here is likely remuxing, the devices might not support an audio format for example and it needs to be remuxed rather than direct played. This is a minimal CPU overhead operation. Something else of note, you said you have a cloudflare/nginx reverse proxy setup with certificates but all the traffic in this log is HTTP not HTTPS, so I don't think you're actually taking advantage of this setup. EDIT: Actually looking a little closer I see some information in the headers about it being https so I guess you're just proxying to the HTTP port and that's why it still comes up as an http URL. I know within a home environment you shouldn't really need to proxy to an HTTPS port but it's just a habit I've gotten into from my professional experience with enterprise networks.

Basically albums are either sorted by Title (A-Z) or by Year (descending, eg 2019, 2016, 2012) with no way to change this. only way is to Goto the Folders tab, and then select artist, and then albums are displayed by file name (eg. “2000. the Better Life” or however you labeled the folder)

I used the emby theater app, yesterday remind me should upgrade the emby server on my Qnap, I did it. download the emby-server-qnap_4.8.7.0_x86_64.qpkg file from the emby site. then I can not log the http://10.0.1.23:8096/web/index.html then. but the server is no problem, I can watch everything though theinfuse by my iphone ipad. Hello, I had some issues with streaming devices outside of my network not being able to play videos. Sometimes they are waiting 30s and then get back to the overview of the video. Sometimes it tries direct play and switches mid loading after 30s to transcoding often with horrible quality. Therefore I though the streaming device which are a firetv stick 1/2gen and a LG Android OS are not sufficient enough to handle it. That's why I bought a Nvidia Shield TV Pro today and connected to my server over the internet and got the exact same issues, which surprised me. Therefore I did some digging and compared it to my ~2021 Sony TV which plays everything directly without any issues at all. Until I tried to connect my TV over the internet instead of locally to my server and also experienced the same issues. Something is going wrong in my setup, I attached the logs and wanted to ask for help. I didn't open any ports however I can login and go through the library no issues at all. Some videos are playing but most load a long time and go back or I get something "No compatible stream is available.". I got a Cloudflare tunnel configured with edge certificate to a nginx reverse proxy which passes the request to emby. I restarted the server to get a new log file and tried playing the same two videos on my Sony TV Android OS and Nvidia Shield TV Pro, my TV uses the Emby for Android TV and the Nvidia Shield TV Pro uses the Emby App. (I also tested Emby for Android TV on the Nvidia Shield TV Pro - same behaviour). I also just got a new fibre connection with 1Gbits down / 200Mbits up . I upgraded from cable to fibre because before I couldn't rule out my internet connection as the cause. Hi, that is an http url. Try typing in the full smb folder location. Please see if that helps.

That's probably a docker network address, which is why I asked if you configured the container to use the host network or not.

It's already fixed in the beta release so you can sign up to get beta releases or sideload it manually.

"Task Manager" screenshot would be better as current screenshot does not tell anything, what (process) actually consumes memory and how much. From developer perspective, it is useless...

If you look at the image below you will see where the conflict lies. The In-Home (LAN) access IP address shown on the Emby Dashboard page is the one that shows up in the resetpassword.txt file. Looking at the actual IP address in the address field at the top of the web page clearly shows that is not the IP address for my server so I don't know how it comes up with the address listed on the Dashboard page. Prior to resetting the password, neither IP address would allow me to connect to the server. The actual IP address would prompt me for my password whereas the one shown on the web page would simply time out and never connect.

Dev will probably need to see server log for a user playing something and not being recorded. As that is the only option I know of to ignore users.

@ebr @softworkzwanna hop into this thread simply because I do not want to open an extra one for that sind it surely has been asked before but I cannot find it. Last time I used that feature is a long time ago and a lot improved since then. One questions that came to my mind regarding tone mapping: Is there a mechanism for Emby server to determine when to use tone mapping on a file? Or is there no one except from another trigger that triggers transcoding in general? Example: I have a 4K HDR stream. When I play it with Theater (default settings) connected to a 1080p non HDR monitor via HDMI or DP, there is no tone mapping because Theater direct plays the file, even it's 4K. If I lower max bitrate in App settings to 1080p 60Mbit, video gets transcoded and tonemapped. It would be nice if tonemapping would get triggered without have to force transcode the video. E.g. with a checkbox in app settings to tell the server that every HDR stream needs to be tone mapped or something like this. Or am I just not smart enough to find a setting for the above desired behaviour? Is this even possible? Thanks guys!

Yes it is difficult to tell if user has password or not now but if user has no password, you will not get the option to use Pin
