https not worling: pfx file is configured but not active
Lessaj replied to Friedhelm's topic in Linux
Yes that was another thought that I had, the key that I used when I created my PFX is not an encrypted key. It asks for an import password as well as PEM pass phrase when trying to view the pfx with openssl but they happen to be the same password. It's been a while since I created it. -

Yes it's transcoding because of a quality setting, I think it pretty much defaults to 4 Mbps on auto. I'd recommend either manually setting a higher quality or see if putting 192.168.0.0/24 in the LAN networks field and probably restart the client app if that works to play at full quality and hopefully also doesn't transcode. It's not using your RX 580 at all.
-
HI, are you saying you want to listen to a video using android auto? That's very doable. But to actually display the video, I don't believe Google allows that to my knowledge. You'd have to launch the Emby app.
-
We still incorporate known supported formats. the browser certainly cannot direct play everything. And some of our apps do not use the system player.

Vicpa started following FLAC Audio not playing via Web Client
-
Hi @Luke I don't think you should ever transcode music for anything other than bit rate limits. For instance home network 1gb and most available wifi in my area 30mb-750mb. the OS housing the client supplies the necessary decode/playback codecs. Windows guy and windows has built-in support for all mainstream music audio formats, and most others. So I am in the camp for any kind of music file try direct play first..

Thanks, That seems to be one in the cons for getting premier. It boasts "Use Emby effortlessly in your car with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support." but IF I need to purchase somethingh else then it's not worth the hastle. I'll just find a phone mount that puts my phone close to the screen in my car.

https not worling: pfx file is configured but not active
Q-Droid replied to Friedhelm's topic in Linux
That's something the developers could consider. Having both a storepass and a keypass involved, even if the same, might need changes in the Emby code to handle. LE issues the full stack and generates a new private key for each issue/renewal and doesn't encrypt any of it. Sometimes this is taken for granted when people want to create their keystores in specific and more secure ways. Since most CAs handle CSRs you don't have to ever expose your private key and that's the price to pay for ease and convenience of the free services like LE. -

https not worling: pfx file is configured but not active
Friedhelm replied to Friedhelm's topic in Linux
I tested it once more and manually built a pfx with the fullchain, and this time it worked. I think the difference to the original fullchain pfx is the encryption of the private key. The new pfx contains an unencrypted privated key, and only the pfx itself is password encrypted. The original pfx had both the pfx and the private key encrypted with the same password. -
https not worling: pfx file is configured but not active
Friedhelm replied to Friedhelm's topic in Linux
Well, it didn't in my case and my checks of the pfx did not show any issues as you can see in the dump I posted. Dumping the pfx and rebuilding it without the chain fixed it, so proof me wrong. However: It is fixed now thanks to Lessaj. But my major complaint is still there: Something didn't work correctly, emby did not offer the certificate to the connecting clients though it was properly set up, and there was nothing about it in the logs. No "unable to open pfx" or "Invalid pfx structure" or whatever. Same pfx works fine on other hosts. -
I don't have mine running anymore. I'll redeploy them after I finish building my new Emby Server and get back to you. BTW are you running via WiFi or LAN? I only ran mine via LAN.
- Today
-
So after some testing I can also confirm the same issue as everyone else and the original endpoint that I have in my script doesn't delete them from the filesystem, just from emby.
-
So I've gone the opposite route - and am using the mkv as the source. Just written it in powershell today actually to write back the emby chapter points into the MKV - but it looks as if ffmpeg ignores hidden MKV chapters - which breaks the idea of having the 'intro markers' in the MKV for the reasons you give. I highly doubt emby will want to provide any support for chapters being read as special markers by name - so I'll still trying to work around it. I've finally moved away from the Plugin - and I'm now using the Core Intro Skip - it was just too much hassle to keep the plugin going. The righful place for all these markers is in the source file - but it's prooving a challenge making it work for every scenerio ...
-
Yes that's the version I'm on and no it hasn't helped

Nope. Emby works with the chain and the LE fullchain PEM is what should be used when creating the keystore. -
Emby Freeze & out of sync on video playback!!
electricwildflower replied to electricwildflower's topic in Linux
Here is a screenshot of an episode playing on the dashboard, and one of both transcoding and network. My current hardware specs of the Truenas server are. Motherboard - MSI 990FXA GAMING Socket AM3+ motherboard Processor - AMD FX 8350 8 core processor Ram - DDR3 32GB Graphics Card - Radeon RX 580 Power Supply - 1000 Watt OS - Truenas Scale Bluefin latest version Ethernet - Onboard Emby is installed from the Truecharts repository by just opening up apps on Truenas Scale, searching for Emby and installing the Truecharts version adding the relevant info for media shares etc. Most video's that i have played where working fine till i got this new Roku TV and then had to upgrade some of the Movies & TV series to better qualities. The problem started about a week or 2 ago or more. Hopefully it's just a network issue that i'll resolve. -
again agreed - If they decide to fix it is anyones guess - but at least they are now sending the correct http response for incorrect Authentication (latest stable).

Audio transcode issue whit the last stable version 4.8.3.0
ppfeufer replied to damien_c2's topic in General/Windows
And in version 4.8.6.0 as well. -
Any updates of this issue.... There seems to be other issues arising with Emby on Roku devices... Video freezing and audio keeps playing for like 2 or 3 seconds. The two remote users I have has had this issue off and on. One with a Hisense Roku TV said he was going back to the PLEX until these issues are fixed.

@amateurgod Hi. Can you try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares? Thanks.

Android Client Hang After IP/Network Change
hella0915 replied to hella0915's topic in TerraMaster NAS
Appreciate. Anyway I can manipulate/improve this switching time? Its not so bad to plan ahead and switch networks ahead of time when you know your leaving, but it can be a bit annoying when you share with friends/family.
