    Youtube Parent Lock Bypass

Not sure if this is an Emby problem or Youtube. On my AppleTV, I have the "Parent Lock" setting turned on so that my kids can only access their child profiles. If they try to access my profile, it prompts for a 4 digit code. Well, if they use the trailer preview feature within Emby, it opens the adult profile in Youtube, bypasses the lock, and then lets them watch any Youtube video. Ideally, when Youtube is launched, it would respect the lock setting and prompt for the code and then fail to open if the code is invalid.
  3. OK we'll take a look at it. Thanks for reporting.
  4. What exactly did you do?

    Batch renaming

I have a lot of movie and TV episode files that are in different resolutions (eg. 1080p and 720p). They have typically been named, "movie name.m4v" and "movie name.mp4". Because I have a Mac, and have tended to use Mac applications, the file container for videos as been m4v. Locally our hardware supports mostly encoded x264 at 1080p with 6 channel audio. When I decided to put media files on a Qnap NAS, I found some remote users couldn't stream the 1080p files so made optimized copies at 720p. I came to Emby from Plex so some files are named and placed in "Plex Versions" folders but not enough to worry about. What I'd like to be able to automate is renaming the files to comply with Emby's naming convention for files of different resolutions. So, a file named Atlas.m4v would be renamed to Atlas - 1080p.m4v and a file named Atlas.mp4 would be renamed to Atlas - 720p.mp4. However I then need to put both files in the same folder (named "Atlas"). Does anyone know how Filebot might do this? Thanks

No access to Emby on Asustor

That would be beta version 4.9.1.3.

Still testing on my own, seems any .mp4 from the source is failing to play on the emby server also .ts, but those don't run outside of emby so not too worried about those. Also Luke if you can delete in the first message would be appreciated. embyserver.txt ffmpeg-directstream-1e9e2617-4f30-4bb4-bb3d-110e39e64c2b_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-16acf3c8-bfcd-4873-a4c1-a42533a700e4_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-c1a30eec-bf70-4e0d-b098-925f74433df3_1.txt

    Emby Images Not Updating

Well, I guess you could say I fixed this issue. I found a thread where someone wanted to get rid of all the cached images on their server. So I removed all the images only in the imagecache folders and the problem is now gone. So I don't know what the deal was. Maybe when the option was turned on, and I decided I wanted those images locally, turning off that option doesn't delete those images. It just takes and new images are put in the directory with the media file. Anyway, the problem is now resolved.

    No Playable Items

The non Android TV app does appear to not be affected by this. I will have to test more and make sure if does not cause any other problems. Thank you. Is one app supposed to replace the other at some point or are both existing alongside each other for the foreseeable future?
  19. The TV Naming article has been updated. Thank you for providing the examples and notes. I have included almost all. For a few explanatory text statements, I felt it unnecessary to add that level of detail. I have looked into this and I think it is ok. I tried your example for Seinfeld with a Special at the series level and one for Season 2. The fact that all the specials show in the Specials section, I think is ok. Ignore the actual images showing for the specials. They are from the actual video files which were just dummy media files and not the actual specials. Also I do not think we need to mention this level of detail it in the support articles.

  21. Since it is direct playing this sounds like an issue with the browser video player. For what it's worth, our installed apps come with a more robust video player embedded that can handle more types of files.

Many photos do appear, but quite a few don't

Hi, sorry, I don't quite understand. What do these screenshots tell us? You're showing us a picture of two folders in Emby, right? Should something else be there, or are you asking why there is a folder icon?
