Missing Images, Fanart is only data provider, TVDB isn't an option
Happy2Play replied to marktaff's topic in General/Windows
And your specific example as Emby is getting images from TVDB and FanArt per that log. What is Emby not getting? -

marktaff replied to marktaff's topic in General/Windows
And yet, it happened. The first file is embyserver.txt over the course of this forum thread. The second is embyserver.txt since midnight last night. Also, not that it matters, but I don't use the emby UI to get to embyserver.txt. I shell into the server and tail/folllow or cat the file as required. As you can see, nothing was written to the log about me editing images, searching, or even changes pages in the UI while we've been having this discussion. embyserver_life.of.thread..txt embyserver_since.midnight.txt -

Roku autoplay next episode has suddenly stopped working
Gilgamesh_48 replied to Jdmoody1980's topic in Roku
People keep mentioning Jellyfin like it has no issues or the issues it has are small and of little consequence. But the fact is that Jellyfin has a plethora of issues and instabilities and they even started with Emby's code and the removed they credits of the Emby developers so it appeared that the code was invented by them which it was NOT. As far as the issue discussed here goes I see nothing wrong with the way Emby handles multiple streaming. I just wish that Emby would break out the nearly useless, for me, Live TV functionality somehow. Live TV is the least important function that Emby provides but it seems to produce 70-80% of the issues people run into. I do use a live TV app but it is NOT Emby. Sometimes I think Emby and Plex and even Jellyfin make a tremendous effort for live TV but most of that effort is useless and there are many much better live TV apps for computers that do not overburden the devices involved. I just wish that live TV would become nothing but sports and the such. Everything else is better and more convenient as streams and it also is much easier to consume content that way. My voice is unimportant and so is everyone else's. So Emby will do what they want. -

Not possible as all navigation, pages and queries are logged even you going to dashboard-logs and opening embyserver.txt. -
Missing Images, Fanart is only data provider, TVDB isn't an option
marktaff replied to marktaff's topic in General/Windows
I tried to get the logs, but there is nothing to log, apparently. I tried 'edit images' for a tv show, then search for an image, using Theater 3.0.19, and absolutely nothing was written to embyserver.txt. Tried the same thing with the web client, and again, nothing was written to embyserver.txt. So...without anything in the logs, we are kind of short on clues... -
It does seem off as OpenSubtitles is the only external site failing. Unless this is a geographical location issue?

On the web client, manually searching for a thumb has the same result: no thumb, and it only checks fanart.tv. Also on the web client, some of the data sources are checked, and they are actually checkable (see image), unlike the Theater client. I just checked for a newer client a few days ago, but 3.0.19 was current. Lemme check again. -

Do you see the same behavior in the Web Client? We would need to see the server log for a specific example once you have enabled providers on the library. Unable to reproduce setting not working/applying. You could try uninstalling and reinstalling the client also as it is a version behind. @Luke Looks like ET needs a little love at least for TVDB as I see the same in 3.0.20. -

stonedjohn replied to GBREEZY_83's topic in Emby Provided Guide Data
I can confirm it is something to do with Dropbox cause when I point Emby to use the output xml file from IPTVBoss directly instead of using the Dropbox URL it loads EPG information on all channels like it did before. You may want to hop on IPTVBoss discord and ask there what is going on cause I don't think this has anything to do with Emby as it looks like your using the stable build and I'm using the beta build of Emby and everything was working fantastic until the last few days I believe so something had to of changed on Dropbox I guess. -
New server update changed the layout of all my collections!!
Tenyrsgone27 replied to Tenyrsgone27's topic in General/Windows
That doesn't work. I already tried that and I shouldn't have to add or do anything extra to fix this. This was a result of the last upgrade to the server. I need to understand how I roll back the server to the previous version. I'm very unhappy with the layout now. -

Hi yes using Dropbox with IPTVBoss which is the local xml? -
Browsers are the worst as they accumulate with versioning updates. You have two options Multi-select the devices and select delete from the context menu or Device List Cleaner plugin

Looking at your logs are you getting your XML from dropbox? I too have mine setup like that using IPTVBoss and am having the exact same issue so i guess that is the source of the problem. I will try just using a local XML file and see if that works. -

Missing Images, Fanart is only data provider, TVDB isn't an option
marktaff posted a topic in General/Windows
I've recently started having missing images for TV series in my TV library, often thumbs. It seems like Fanart.tv is the only data provider now. I'm pretty sure it used to grab images from both fanart & tvdb. From the TV library, Shows tab, right-click on show, select 'Edit Images', right-click on 'Thumb', 'Search for Image', click on 'Source', the options are 'All' or 'Fanart'. TVDB isn't an option. For at least one of the shows, Fanart doesn't have a thumb, so this isn't Emby failing to find a resource that exists. TVDB doesn't have 'thumbs', but its 'background' images would make decent thumbs if scaled/cropped. Possibly related, in the server settings, under the library for tv shows, the various data sources are uncheckable; when you try, a message pops up saying that "no options available for the selected items". Also, the tvdb option has a weird link that appears to be a tracking/link forwarder as seen in the attached image. Running Ember Server 4.8.5.0 on Kubuntu, Emby Theater 3.0.19 If anyone knows what is going on, why, or how to fix it, I would very much appreciate your insight. Thanks! -
@artstaryou haven't come up with a workaround for this have you? I was thinking maybe "recursively delete the directory containing the movie['Path'] and then force a library rescan" - but - pretty ugly.
