For now, I haven't seen anything relevant, except for this thing that happens to me. The image of the emby logo that appears next to the start menu icon does not appear. I have tried your clean code without modifying anything and it doesn't appear either. And a question, the border that appears when selecting a library or in the dialogs, I can't find that thickness, can you tell me where I change it? I leave you a screenshot of both things. Thank you

I'm not sure exactly when this began but at least in the past few beta versions I now have a "Recently searched" which appears before my search results. Not only is this annoying, I cannot find a way to shut this off, and it shows results for items not related to the search itself. In addition, there are now huge gaps of empty page space between this and search results. i watched one episode of Sally yesterday. I did not search for the episode, yet it insists that I did and that I had searched for many others. Its unfortunate that the most basic functionality of Emby which has worked perfect for years is now broken. What is the fix for this? More nonsense: More nonsense:

On one of the recent Emby beta releases earlier this year, there were optional sub-headings for the new home screen sections. This has since been removed, but I thought I'd try a similar idea for the custom Group By views. This possibly simplifies the Release Type mappings, on import, and also provides a way to show more info without it being the (large-bold-font) main heading: As a proof-of-concept, it seems to be quite useful. Any changes to the Release Type sub-headings and the Decade headings/sub-headings do not require any changes to the Album Tags, so can be updated independently and relatively easy.

Any ideas? A few days before my first post this started, and seems to impact anyone using LG or Samsung app. Android and Roku seen unaffected. All three of my users effected worked fine till last week, now almost nothing plays for them. Emby didn't update, and while LG seems to have had an update earlier this month, nothing lines up with when the problem started. Testing/logs seem to show either the TVs aren't reporting back that they need transcoding, or if they are, Emby isn't starting it. So the streams are incompatible. Roku, Android, Web all seem to work as normal. And transcode when needed.

Any updates on this st all? The large gap under my media section is still there

Emby’s gradual rollout of Apple Silicon GPU acceleration is because macOS relies on a different video pipeline (VideoToolbox) that needs to be properly wired into ffmpeg. Since Emby uses ffmpeg for transcoding, the real work lies in making that integration stable on Apple’s tightly controlled hardware, not in the language or CPU translation layer. As an independent technical user with no affiliation to Emby, it’s obvious Luke and the team are putting in serious effort while also supporting a wide range of platforms. Hardware acceleration on something like a Celeron-based NAS didn’t happen overnight either—it took time to mature. This will get there as well, and when it does, it should deliver the same level of stability Emby users already expect.

Found two little bugs: 1. A movie title enclosed in "" holds back the complete treatment. It's enough to manually edit the metadata and then reprocess. 2. HDR in AV1-encodes doesn't get recognized.

That's OK. That's not really meant to be configurable. Actually we should probably just prevent the dialog from showing altogether.

Okay. I deleted the old Playlists library. I then started a new playlist which added a Playlists library to Emby showing 2 folders. But when I go into the library, it doensn't show me the paths to where it's looking for its data. I've included screenshots.

This is a weird one. I used a third party app to test example channels (TV Land). My Provider gives us three. One is TV Land UHD and works but its latent in Emby. One is TV Land West, it works fine in Emby. Lastly is TV Land East, local to me, and it will not play at all in Emby, I get the "no compatible stream" popup. I tested all three channels in another application, and they all streamed normally. I monitored my memory usage when trying to run TV Land EAST in Emby, and memory usage was normal. Also, I got the same result different browser. Chrome and Firefox. My provider offeres hundres of channels and 98% work fine, Just a handful are problematic. TV Land is one of them. Since all three channels work fine in a different application, I chose to post this here for expert opinion. They're manual collections. I did some further investigation. I have the playback reporting plugin installed and I looked at the movies that were affected (i.e. removed from a collection) and compared it to those that weren't. It seems that the movies that got removed had their ID changed. When I click on a movie through this plugin (which takes you to the movie page in emby directly, emby shows an error "The requested item could not be found. It may have been recently removed from the server." However movies that weren't affected work fine and just go to that movie (i.e. the movie item ID has not changed). However if I search for the affected movie and check the stats, it says e.g. "Added 06/01/2021" so I'm not sure. I have emby server installed on a synology box and recently added a drive so I'm not sure if maybe it temporarily moved the file or became temporarily unavailable to emby? I would have though the "Added" item in emby would change though. Is there a way to keep item IDs persistent?

I searched and have seen lots of solutions for migrating posters, playlists, watch progress to Emby. What is a migration solution to migrate media star ratings to Emby? I have rated thousands of files. It would be terrible to lose that work. The ratings are used for smart playlists. Recreating playlists is not a big deal. Re-rating music is a big deal.

Is this request too much of a zombie to resurrect? I'd love this feature! I had to do some digging with metaflac to see who that sweet solo trombonist on Louis Prima's "Body and Soul" (on "The Wildest!", in case you want to take a listen). Oh, that particular talent was Jimmy "Little Red" Blount.

I'm not aware of any issues. @famarchCan you please check the network settings, particularly the DNS setting on the ATV to ensure it matches the other devices? Can you try using 1.1.1.1 as your DNS? Somewhat similar network connectivity issue in this thread, which was a DNS issue on the single local device

Yocker, could the 'rules' be adjusted to optionally apply to a series rather than tag/studio? Other 'rules' that would be awesome: allow changing detection settings other than image-related? e.g. 'analysis percent', 'min credit length', 'max credit length', 'fingerprint duration'. For example, Netflix has really long credits due to the multilingual translations allow disabling of credit detection at all. For example, JRE podcast essentially has zero credits, and analyzing possibly 25% of the 3+ hour episode (nearly 3000 of them) to end in nothing detected would be a big waste We appreciate your work! UPDATE: Fix: Emby Upcoming Page Slow to Load My Emby Upcoming page was taking an annoying 2+ minutes to load, this happens every 4-5 hours. After some digging I found Emby fetches live data from TheMovieDB every time you click it rather than using a local cache. The Fix A small Docker container that runs alongside Emby. It caches the Upcoming data every night at midnight and serves it instantly through a proxy on port 8097. Now emby "upcoming" works insanely like jellyfin. Summery: Port 8097 → Use this for all your devices (browser, Android TV box) Port 5050 → Cache status page http://NAS IP:5050/status Midnight → Cache refreshes automatically every night it's great that RTM now works like Jellyfin, but I'm still using my custom Emby-Watcher-Service, I created weeks ago, before the official bug fix, because it's almost instant. All these fixes I created with the help of Claude & Gemini AI make using Emby a joy. I no longer use Kodi or Jellyfin. The feature I’m proudest of is 'Upcoming,' which now displays the correct dates via Trakt. It was a real challenge—Claude AI insisted it couldn't be done, but I kept pushing and feeding it ideas until we finally cracked it.

What does "soon" mean?

It would be nice to have the option to display a "Where to Watch" section when a series is incomplete. Lets say you only have 2 seasons of a 3 season show, when you click on the show it has a section that says "Seasons 1-2 available on Emby ", "Watch Season 3 via Hulu". So if someone is watching a show and they want to continue to seasons you don't have yet they will know which streaming service to use to watch the remaining seasons. Not sure how plausible this is but I see when you look a show up on google they have a similar Where To Watch section, you might be able to utilize that. Thanks
