Please provide the server log from when you tried. Based on what you are saying, though, I'm guessing maybe a firewall or other network change has your server not able to reach the internet. Log Files

Hi. There is on some older versions of Google TV. I believe the Shield still supports this. You would go to the bottom of the home page and, if there is a "customize home" button there, you can click it and choose the Emby content. If there is no such button, then you have a version of GTV that no longer supports this from apps other than Google's partners.

Tested my entire workday and not once did Emby stop playing, since I changed all "automatic" quality settings to the highest possible settings. Will probably go for a run tonight, so I'll be able to longer test the app via 4/5g as well and will post about that as well.

How can I force a "full sync" from Emby to Trakt? Since Emby was disconnected for many months, my Trakt data is now significantly out-of-date. I did go to Scheduled Tasks and ran "Export Library to Trakt". It says it finished successfully in "3 seconds" (which seems rather quick to do a full sync!) but nothing in Trakt changed, even after waiting overnight (in case there was a delay in processing the data on Trakt's end or something).

I'm also pretty much counting on this to be true as well. I'd also really like some rating/comment/review system within Emby to let users interact with eachother. This and a notification system and I'd be golden.

New version (v5.52.2) out. This one fixes memory usage, memory leaks and performance issues. Been working on it for some time and memory usage should in some cases be almost halfed along with a descent performance uplift. Download it at: yocksers/EmbyIcons Github. Thank you to @Neminem for the help!

Skip Intro markers not being generated despite scheduled task completing

Thought I'd mention that the skip intro does seem to be working fine on all new shows added, as well as having gone back to pick up older ones. Thanks for your help! -
is it possible to create smartplay lists in Emby or EmbyCon?
danzigman replied to guill69f's topic in Synology
You can use the HomeScreenCompanion plugin for Emby to make something like smart playlists: it can automatically tag or put videos in collections which follow certain criteria. My problem is that Emby apps can't do things like show more video details as you browse playlists. Only Kodi has been able to do that. -
OK! I've got a ton of media, so copying everything will take me a few days.

I m going mad with amazon store, several of my family switched to unified android app, but store is installing different versions all the time, even 2 months old versions ??? Some got .31, some .32 , big majority got .28...which does not have new home screen changes. So frustrating.... Even on google store you get "random" versions.....and no update avaliable to go to latest.

Actually if images are stored alongside the media then the paths to the images that are held within the database will still be referring to the old filesystem paths. So you may end up with issues for images - which may require refresh metadata for all libraries and updating images Do you have any custom image files stored alongside the media files ? You need to be careful not to refresh metadata with replace images option selected as they would get removed. Let us know how it goes

External Player (Vimu) resume position issue on Android TV
franco72 posted a topic in Android TV / Fire TV
Hi team, I’m experiencing a sync issue when using Vimu Media Player as an external player in the Emby app for Android TV (Ugoos AM6b+ device). The issue: When I start "Movie A" and stop it halfway, the position is saved correctly in Emby. When I then start "Movie B", Vimu prompts me to resume from the timestamp of "Movie A". If I disable "Resume from last position" in Vimu settings, every movie starts from 00:00, even if Emby has a saved resume point. It seems Emby is not passing the resume_at or start_index parameters in a way that Vimu can interpret, or it's reusing the Intent data from the previous session. I’ve contacted the Vimu developer, and he suggested that Emby might not be using the correct API constants for Vimu. He provided the API documentation here: https://vimu.tv/player-api/ Could you please check if the Emby Android app correctly passes the position or start_time extra when calling Vimu as an external player? Thanks! -

Hi Luke, It's Version 4.9.3.0 -
It looks very nice but i guess as with most other plugins that changes the UI that it only works in the webclient?

This last step has not been tried by me and is not covered by the Backup amd Restore support article. The current documentation assumes that the new machine will have the same media files paths See the first sentence in the document in this paragraph Your proposed method may well work. For your metadata you will need to select all the options for backing these up (See "Include Metadata subfolders in Backup) Go through the document and taking note of the special instructions for the camera upload and live tv recordings default folders Let us know if changing the media root folder paths for the libraries after the restore succeeds without losing any of the media. You mentioned you .nfo's beside the media files, these would be included in your manual backup / copy of the media to the new paths

@hatharry @Luke I disabled and reenabled the Alexa skill. When I ask Alexa to play the playlist Wine, the reply is the requested media can not be found in the library. The playlist was created by the Admin user and shared to the other user, Marvin. The Alexa skill logs in to my Emby connect account using the email address that belongs to the user Marvin. Ii hope the above helps. Thanks

@LukeI don't understand your first question "what image types are enabled for download in fetcher settings?". No item is locked in the metadata.

For an example, :- Add this to the name sections i mentioned above "emby/System/Info/Public" so that you now have emby.myemby.com.au:443/emby/System/Info/Public or whatever your Emby server address is and get your Emby server name / version number / identity details such as :- "{"LocalAddresses":[],"RemoteAddresses":[],"ServerName":"ANTFLIX","Version":"4.9.3.0","Id":"eb59e6df66ae223aaf7a21bcff614130e"}" Glad it doesn't expose my ip addresses etc. And all the things on the screenshots are visible, all admin sections are visible although not useful to me, "But".... Also, all admin sections are restricted to all non admin users when logged in , however non logged in users can see what sections of admin areas exist. Again, i don't know how far someone can go or what they can do. They can obviously identify the server identities, names and versions. Can someone do something with this information? They already have my internet IP at that stage and can continue to look for a vulnerability?
