Solved: I dug through the Synology logs and discovered that the folders were created via the installation of the Synology media server. This is an install that I had forgotten about since it was uninstalled minutes later ... in favor of EMBY.

Well since my qbitstrm plugin project was rejected by the team (which was almost finished and awesome i would say) I was on a new similar project for upcoming titles it basically requires Ombi a media request app and requested items appear on the plugin and it automatically creates a strm file and a small video with the backdrop of the movie with coming soon text but it is in early dev stage and to be honest am not all in with this one almost abandoning it...... but if people are interested may be i will continue making this project here are some of the screenshots...

I'm not quite sure what you mean. If you're referring to an option to show badges only for specific libraries, that's certainly possible. However, I don't think that's what you're asking for. Could you elaborate a bit more or give an example of the workflow.

I don't know about the posters, but I have Emby running on a 4k tv, and honestly, it looks terrible. Everything in the UI in blurry, and big and the app interface is obviously running late on the 4k party. I mean, the previous message on this thread was 6 years ago, and nothing has changed. On my other TVs, which are 1080p everything is fine, it looks how it suppose to look on a 1080p display. I have tried setting the text and images sizes to small, but that didn't help a lot.

I have the same issue on my Xiaomi Box 3s 3rd gen. I have the same version, installed the same day, on that box and Firestick 4k Max, and on the Firestick in works great without those transition animations. F11 is standard browser feature. At least on windows.

Would you consider adding support for reading libraries, folders, etc? I'd really like a way to clearly mark my recordings. I also create stub files for any movies I buy the disc of as soon as I order the disc, so they sit on the server in that form until the disc arrives. This allows me to more easily track what I own, what I've got coming, and to do the admin work of setting up cover art etc while I'm waiting for the disc. Again, a way to make those visually distinct would be nice. I also have a library that consists entirely of movies I don't own. Either things I've watched, or things I have watchlisted on a streaming service I'm subscribed to. Those are all stubs as well.

Hello, I have a server that is asking me for a Premiere Subscription whenever i access it from outside my lan, with a domain name... i have two subdomains, same server embyA.exampledomain.stream (this one is registered inside emby) embyB.exampledomain.stream (this one is NOT registered inside emby) both domains are proxied through cloudflare (not tunnels, just dns) if i play a movie with hardware acceleration, it does work, just Live TV is asking me for a Subscription still it's asking me for an emby premiere subscription on the home page and in live tv, if i access the server through tailscale, appears normal (with premiere). what can i do so LIVE TV works outside LAN and remove the premiere requirements.?? embyserver.txt

Fair point - I didn't know that scroll feature existed until now. Also, I didn't know about F11 until I searched this forum while preparing this request. Now that I know about it, and the reason for not allowing F in the navigation conext, I'll use it. Could F11 be added to the "Keyboard and Remote" help feature? That's where I had looked for such a shortcut, and didn't find it. Thanks!

I've recently moved from Windows to Linux on my main desktop and decided to ditch Windows on my media center PC as well. I installed Emby Server via the command line using the follow command, so I think it's a Flatpak installation. I'm new to Linux so not 100% on that. curl https://pkg.emby.media/get.sh | sh Emby Server version is 4.9.5.0. Everything is working great except when I reboot the PC and the Emby server starts up on boot, it also opens up my browser and loads the Emby web interface. I'd like to make that stop doing that. I searched and found some references to a server setting that says "Launch the Emby web app in my web browser when Emby Server starts". Except I can't find this setting anywhere. I did remove the Emby Server start up from the Autostart applications and that did stop the browser launch, but also prevented the server from starting automatically. Manually starting the server then causes the browser to open. Any help would be appreciated because I'm lost on where to look next to resolve this. TIA!

A show is scheduled to record where episodes are being "simulcast" on two different stations.... in other words, two different stations air the same season/episode of that show at the same time. My question is if Emby tries to record from lets say channel A and the recording fails for whatever reason... will it attempt to record from channel B? See example below.

Couple of apps, ive been experimenting with. Both of them allow you to watch in sync with other persons using separate devices. Tested it with 4 devices at the same time, only the iPhone on 5G was slightly out of sync, maybe 100/200ms. The basic premise is, you choose something to watch, create a party, other users can then join the ip/port of the watch party ( i was using port forward during test, havent tested using tail scale etc), they choose the username they have signed into on their embay app. Select the devices, from start playback, then start selected. You can use seek to sync all users, has to be 1:00 etc, entering 1 will take you back 1. Pause play end all do what they say. Chat box is available also. A couple of thinbgs i am workig through, sometimes the app doesn play on an external device, create the party again, the party creator, go back tp lobby, rejoin party and select devices again and it should work. The emby app has to be open on screen for phones, android tvs, shield etc. Two versions of the app. A standalone version that only has the watch party. A full suite version, that syncs with trakt to create a smart playlist, using your watched/liked history from trakt, also universe builder (MCU Playlist for example), analysis of genres, year etc to give yoou suggestions watch to watch in your library. USe docker or the container magaer to build and deploy. running on a hp micro gen 8 with a xeon cpu, 12gig of ram, 0 cpu usage because it only instructs emby to play, doesnt do any hard lifting.

Channels don't show up as option for mapping.

If you are planning to delete an item from library while keeping the file don't forget to toggle on the emby ignore settings under the library settings. Be cautious when checking "Also delete from my disk", you may lose your media permanently.... as to my experience i Used windows and it puts them in recycle bin, however I can not guarantee same will happen to you. Also I haven't test it in other OS... so it is completely upto you how you use this plugin. Test the plugin and let me know if there are issues on it

Unfortunately, version 3.5.37 did not fix the issue for me. I tried again, but this is still not resolved. The behavior is exactly the same as before. A bit more information that may help narrow this down: This problem only started after upgrading from One UI 7.0 / Android 15 to One UI 8.0 / Android 16. I also tested Emby on my older Samsung S8 running One UI 1.0 / Android 9, and the issue does not occur there. Samsung’s official release notes for the SM-S9080 (S22 Ultra) (https://doc.samsungmobile.com/SM-S9080/CHC/doc.html) do mention DeX-related changes in the One UI 8.0 / Android 16 update, including enhanced display support for DeX. So it looks like something may have changed in Samsung DeX’s external display handling after the Android 16 upgrade. Hope this helps with debugging.

Hi, I'm having the following problem with version 2.0.7. While playing a TV series, the playback froze briefly three times within two minutes, then jumped back about two seconds and continued playing. I stopped it after two minutes and watched it using Infuse, where everything played back flawlessly. The log file is attached. embyserver.txt

One minor comment about changing the server display name... Somehow if the server name contains the word "emby" in any form (e.g., "EMBY", "Emby", etc.), the title of the media server in the shown in the browser tab will always change the word "Emby" to "Media Server". For example, if I change the Server name to "Emby Server", it will become "Media Server Server", or if I change the name to "MY-EMBY-SERVER", it will become "MY-Media Server-SERVER". As I said, this is just one minor detail that I noted, nothing significant, as long as I don't use the word "Emby" then I'm fine.

Strange. I didn't create or import these folders nor have I used any of the Synology apps that are referenced. They were created on 21 JUN 2026 which was 4 days after I installed the EMBY server software. Other than updates, there's been no other change to my NAS in years. I couldn't correlate any update with the appearance of the folder either. I asked as a point of curiosity. I started by asking EMBY users because it seemed the path of least resistance. I'll just have to research this deeper. Thanks to everyone for their input.
