Just wanted to share this Ratings Sync plugin. Seems to work well. 

I'm not the author nor associated with them. Just thought folks would find it useful.

@ebrUsing official APIs with an optional IMDB scraping as a fallback. In the reddit post, the developer discusses this as a reason it would not be suitable for the official plugin catalog.

Excellent little plug-in, been running it since the author dropped it on Reddit, be warned though if you have a big ass library like I do, that initial scan took 29hrs  after that, it settles down to more of a monitor mode and you can set how often it checks for updates, it added/updated thousands of ratings on that first run. You can disable the IMDB fallback as well.

I really like this plugin.
But the IMDb ratings don't seem to be correct.

On imdb, the series Widow`s Bay currently has a rating of 7.8.
After a recent sync of the series, it shows a 3.7.

How did this discrepancy come about?

Author here, IMDB comes from the available and open api.imdbapi.dev as well as OMDB and MDBList API's (you just add your own keys). Nothing is scraped anymore (imdb used to be with an explicit warning, but they blocked that and this API became available).

Very much enjoying this but had one suggestions.   Currently EMBY lets you natively swap theMovieDB ratings for IMDB on the display.  It would be cool if your plugin had that toggle as well.  Or even better is if it had toggles to let you store one of the other ratings options into the IMDB metadata location.

Just wanted to add, great plugin, thanks for your hard work in creating this. By default, does this plugin pull rating info on each episode no matter what? I left episodes unchecked under items to update and it still scraped each episode rather than just the series. Not using the imdb fallback. Correct me if I have interpreted this wrong. Cheers again, it worked well regardless.

Never-mind, scheduled task that executed last night worked perfectly for my setup, picked up series, not episodes as intended.

What changed:

IMDb fallback

• api.imdbapi.dev is offline, so the old unofficial API path is gone.
• Fallback now uses IMDb official free datasets (title.ratings.tsv.gz, and title.episode.tsv.gz when episode IDs are missing).
• Direct title page lookup is still tried as a secondary option.
• Works for movies, series, and episodes when OMDb/MDBList have no community score.
• You can start a scan with IMDb fallback only (no OMDb/MDBList key required).

Safer Run / scanning

• Failed selected-item queue no longer falls back to a full library scan.
• Targeted series/library scans respect Update Movies / Series / Episodes.
• Progress shows smart-skip counts, clearer status messages, and a better ETA.
• Cancel / resume status is more accurate.
• API usage counters count real HTTP attempts only.
• MDBList community scores only use an imdb source entry (not overall score/10).

UI

• Rating Sync appears in the Emby sidebar under Server.
• Clearer labels for Both sources, test mode, targeted scans, and the scheduled task.
