Took a quick look and Luis is behind a NAT of some type but doesn't look typical.

He's going to check on getting a static IP and we'll take it from there.

What happened when you called your ISP?

For VPN use you need a service that supports remote port forwarding such as PIA.

Got Luis up and running using a VPN and alternate port.

I was able to connect and playback as well as he using his phone.

Curious here.... Which vpn software did you end up choosing if I may ask?? 

Did you go with a free og pay?!

Do you use a proxy service or direct client to emby server?

PIA (Private Internet Access).

It gives you a private port to use. You then you switch both the local and remote port in Emby to use that port instead.
Be warned PIA only does port forwarding on some servers (presently non in USA).

In this case we used a server in Greenland which was pinging at 26ms so still fast.

I think befor download any vpn you have to know about. Secondly, before getting a long term plan you should take test drive of any reliable vpn like  https://www.purevpn.com/trial.php This sort of testing is save your money and test drive for a week is enough to decide either reliable or not. So don't waste your money and find a good one.
