Manual edits are lost during a library scan

Ok, so I noticed that Emby didn't correctly identify some of my tv shows and movies automatically, so I identified them manually. Then I come back later, and all the manual edits have been reverted to default. I tried to lock the edits and that didn't work either.

So I started searching to see how I could fix this and I noticed that this was a problem that was fixed with the Windows version.

Hi, that topic was only related to movie extras, not related to actual movies.

Do you have nfo files in your media directories next to your video files?

Yes, looks like it's working now for some reason. I don't understand why it wasn't working before, but it is working now.

Thanks for the feedback.

I realize now that I had designated a custom cache location on another drive. I removed the custom cache location so that might be the reason it started working again.

Hi, what do you mean by cache?

I was thinking it might make sense to keep the cache off the SSD, but I just decided to just leave it alone. I'm amazed I managed to get everything working flawlessly on Linux after being a long time Windows user.

That setting is not going to be related to this. You can wipe the contents of the cache folder anytime you want and it won't be a problem.
