Subtitle PGS Bug on the new Chromecast Google TV with AndroidTv 1.8.28g

Sorry for my english, i'm french. First report in wrong section sorry for that here

The Same files with AC3 is work in Direct Play, with eac3 or HD audio PGS need to transcode the video in burning (not the srt). My Intel nuc server is not powerful for this.

The same file with HD audio (TrueHD 7.1 or EAC3 7.1) on FireTV is Ok with local downmix

Edit:

After test:

it's all unsupported audio by the player (Tested: FireTV 4K, GoogleTV, AppleTV 4K, Mibox S, Emby Theater W10) cause the transcode of the video with pgs in burning mode).

if the audio is supported the PGS Subtitles isn't transcode.

Server: Unbuntu in Docker or w10 have the problem

All my files is concerned.

I can send log in PM

Hi.  This isn't a bug.  It is a limitation of using graphical subs when transcoding/converting audio.  There is no way to deliver those other than burning them in.  As you found, a local downmix will avoid that issue.  Also, just selecting a supported audio track will also avoid it.

Considering Google TV is basically just another skin layer on top of standard Android TV core, you surely can.  As @cayars likes to say: Google is your friend. Bunch of tutorials around.

Cheers
