Is it possible to set up a user so that watched movies and episodes doesn't get marked as watched for that user?

I ask because I have Emby app installed on the TV at my familys summer house and indstead of switching user on the TV app we share a user that is always logged in it would be nice if wached movies and episodes didn't get marked as watches.

Hi,

There is no way to do this presently. Best you could likely do is reset the status of this user from time to time.

How would you do that? I have an admin user I used to use to track which of my physical discs I'd watched before I had the drive space to store all my media, but it no longer needs to do that.

One easy way would be to keep a template user with no watched status backed up and use the restore function to overwrite all user data for the user you want to reset.

Or you could just mark each library manually.

Log in as user, multi-select all libraries and click three dot menu in the header and select mark unplayed.  Or via the Server Configuration Backup plug as mentioned above.

You can multi-select libraries? Doesn't seem to work for me.

Oh. I've got the small library display, I forgot the larger one was even a thing. Guess it only works on the latter?

Correct as all options are removed from "smallBackdropCard", as there is no where to put these options.

So you add 2 steps as you have to change this view to get options.
