I Screwed Up - Need Help!

I recently stopped a scan before it finished. I made a couple minor metadata changes and re-started the scan. It froze at 23.3%. Then said "Failed" in red.

When I looked at my home screen, the "Recent Movies" weren't recent at all, but rather movies that I've had for years. They were all missing artwork. When I looked at my Collections, it only had one - literally one collection of a few movies.

When I looked at the Emby Server files (Emby-Server>data>collections, all of the collections were there.

I renamed the "collections folder to "collections (old)" and started another scan to try to force the system to re-learn the collections. Strangely, it found about 20% of them, but many of them had changed their displayed names (and probably other things that I didn't really look into. I deleted the new "collections" folder and replaced it with the one I had renamed and scanned again. Again, oddly, it didn't change the cumber of collections - it still had about 20% of them. The folder still has all of them (approx 400).

Bottom line - I have a pretty large database of movies (approx 4000), and I am afraid I have corrupted the database by stopping the initial scan. Now, nothing I try to do helps.

Can someone help me out? I would start over with a total re-scan, but I don't want to have to re-create all of the "Collections" (descriptions, genres, custom art, etc...). I just don't know the steps to do this. Or perhaps there's an easier path???

The log files are attached

Does this path still exist?  The log steps through all the [boxsets] in this folder with this same error.  Since you renames the previous collection folder did you apply a new folder?  Have you tried a Refresh on the Collection library?

System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Users\Mark\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\data\collections'.

But you appear to have the issue as here with content type removal and re-add.

Yes, that folder still exists.

When I renamed the "collections" folder and re-scanned, the system generated a new "collections" folder, but it only had about 20% of the collections in it. I deleted the folder, and replaced it with the original "collections" folder that I had temporarily re-named. It still doesn't see them when I scan - it still only sees the 20%

You mentioned trying "a Refresh on the Collection library". How do I do that?

Either from My Media if you show the Collection Library or from Dashboard-Library.

That helped a lot, but still not 100%. I think I had 382 collections prior to the problem and now it shows 356.

BTW, when I did the Refresh on my collections, I chose the "look for missing metadata" instead of "replace all metadata".

One of the ones missing is a collection I just recently updated by adding another movie to it. I made a copy of the collections folder, so I went into that folder, copied that collection's folder and copied it into the actual "collections" folder, and re-scanned. The scan still didn't see it??? Odd.

Has a full library scan finished, since you stopped it?  Since there was a purge of items in "embyserver-63721680222" log those items have to be re-imported.

Yes, it runs a full scan now in about the same amount of time it usually does.

I went in and manually reconstructed the one collection that I knew was missing, and it immediately filled in many of the custom artwork and other details that I had put into that collection - and it did that WITHOUT a scan. Remember, I had placed that specific collection folder into the main "collections" folder and did a scan, but it didn't see it. So when I was manually building it, it seemed to suddenly recognize that folder that had been there since before I started the manual reconstruction of the collection.
