DoUEvenComputer 1 Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 I'm new to Emby and I could be using the download feature wrong but.. I like to have music downloaded to my device to listen to while offline and I've used the Download feature to do this on my iPhone. I noticed that once downloaded to my device, all of the tracks in an album are ordered by the file date rather than by track number, which seems like an obvious default. Is there anyway to order downloaded tracks by anything other than file creation date on the server?
Luke 42077 Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 Hi there, what version of Emby Server are you running?
DoUEvenComputer 1 Posted February 27, 2020 Author Posted February 27, 2020 Hi there, what version of Emby Server are you running? I'm running Emby 4.3.1.0 on Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS. It was a fresh install as of last week, I do have some plugins installed though. I could reinstall to check if this is how iOS app track ordering exists out of the box.
DoUEvenComputer 1 Posted February 27, 2020 Author Posted February 27, 2020 I reinstalled everything from scratch just to be sure: - New Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS install (virtual machine) - Add entries to /etc/fstab to mount cifs volumes containing media - Install Emby server: https://emby.media/linux-server.html (4.3.1.0) - Configure Emby, setup Music library with the source mounted above On my iPhone XR - Deleted iOS Emby app, re-downloaded from App store (Emby for iOS 1.9.3) - Connect to above Emby server - Browse above music library by artist, press on artist to display albums - Press and hold on album, select "Download" - Press on Downloads icon on bottom bar > Music library > Album name - The track listing appears out of order, but reflects the order if I list files in the directory ordering by date if I browse to the same album through My Media, the track listing is by track number as expected. It's only in "Downloads" that the ordering is by original file date.
paddy75 16 Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 Hi, i have the same problem. Not only for the music, also for the downloaded audiobook.
Luke 42077 Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 OK we're looking into this. Please try again with the next update to the app. Thanks.
Solution DoUEvenComputer 1 Posted April 11, 2020 Author Solution Posted April 11, 2020 The issue I described is fixed in Emby for iOS 1.9.6 1
