Same movie in 2 libraries

Recommended Posts

Hello,

i have 2 libraries.

The first has all my movies.

The second has got only some of them, (the ones i want to watch first)

If i start watching a movie that is in both libraries and stop it, i have that movie twice in continue watching.

Is there is way to have it only once?

I managed to have once, but removing sencond library from home, but i want to leave my library in home.

Tnx

Sorry, i didn't understand well.

I manage to merge the two movies in the home screen manually, but don't understand if there is an option to merge them by default.

The only automatic merging for movies would be putting them in the same folder and using our multi version naming conventions.

Ok, tnx, that's a pitty.

Have you explored the multi-select menu to merge them?

I also have some movies in 2 or more libraries and I never had similar problem. In my scenario the folders that are in both libraries must be put as separate paths. That folder mustn't be subfolder of any folder that are already as path in one of the library. I hope I'm clear enough and that it helps.

My situation is like this.

Library 1 (with all the movies): /media/Movies/DIR_MOVIE

Then i have a script that reads my watchlist on trakt and makes links of the movies that are in  /media/movies/DIR_MOVIE in a new folder called /media/watchlist/movies with a subforder for each movie

Library 2 points to /media/watchlist/movie

When i watch a movie that is in the watchlist and stop it i see the movie twice in continue watching.

Ah, I misunderstood. You have duplicates. Just ideas: you could create new user for watchlist links or tell your script to just tag your movies to watch. Or you wait for emby watchlist support.

I'd like to wait watchlist support, but it is a so long reguest that i don't think it will be ever developed.  :)
