when i test my connection on port 8920 it says no ssl certificate

but if change port 8920 in my firewall to 443 then it says save and all the good stuff, but then i cannot access the server on remote XD how does that work?

These questions are specific to your personal environment and therefore will be difficult for us to answer. But when you had it on 8920 you could check the server log for and certificate related errors just to make sure the certificate loaded successfully.

Nice it worked with the installation .zip file ;)

i cannot find Emby on my LG TV? XD

is there a place where i can find these installations for USB myself?

i have this info on the tv: https://gyazo.com/f37bfca45d69b43b262dad053beb3e91

its a free online picture capture tool.

"Gyazo is an open-source and free screenshot program for Windows, macOS, and Linux. The program allows users to create screenshots and upload them to the web, producing a unique URL to the screenshot. The program's name "Gyazo" is a pun on the Japanese word for "image""

So you have WebOS version 3.0. Did you search for Emby in the LG store? It should be there.

i think you're looking in LG smart world. But you should be using the LG app store instead.

The TV is 5 years old at minimum!

In the TV settings there should be a section about this tv with the model number, or on the sticker on the back of the tv

It would be nice if certbot or acme.sh or something was supplied with Emby (license permitting) with options to get it up, even if it’s just to set the command line to it. (Advanced mode)

Alternatively the ability to add a custom scheduled task, I.e execute this program at x o clock, with the return code from the task returning a value that indicates success, SuccessRestart, Failed. Success restart would restart Emby so the new cert is loaded (I assume you need to do this).

Thanks, that confirms this model has Netcast firmware, not webos, so unfortunately there is not an app available in the store for this yet.

i thought so. i recived this answear from LG support

Good Afternoon Jonas,

Thank you for your query in regards to the Emby Application.

I have had a look into this for you and the Application Emby is available on the Web OS 4.0 and higher, which is the latest interface. Your unit is a Netcast 4.5 which means this app may not be available. This is something that we are not in control of as App developers do decided which apps they will to support and how they wish to format the Applications. This means the format is something that can only be supported on recent units, if you would like me to look into this further and raise it to our Head Office for any future arrangements with Emby to see what can be done.

If you do wish to discuss this further please do not hesitate to contact us on 0344 847 5454 or alternatively you can also reply to this email by clicking on the wish to reply to this email button just below. Should you need to attach anything in your response, please click on the start a brand new enquiry button. If you do wish to respond to this email, please do so by clicking on the “Save” button on the response page.

Kind Regards,

Dayam
