Password Re-set is not working

I need to either find out or re-set my password. I've tried the password re-set several times and it does not send to my email (i've check SPAM and Junk folders), I've tried this several times throughout the day, well past the 10 minute window. 

 

I have my username and email if an admin or someone can assist.

Hi there, what password are you trying to reset?  The password for your forum account here? Or a password on your local emby server?

It could be both that i'm trying to re-set actually because my forum account the PW is saved, hence me being able to login and create this question. But even when I've tried to re-set the forum pw, I don't receive an email from Emby.

I did receive an email with your initial response, so I know at least the forum emails are coming to me, but not password re-set for the forum. Really just need to the local server password re-set or know what it is.

For the local server are you able to login?  Are you the admin?  Do you have access to where Emby server is installed as the reset txt for the admin account goes to the *\Emby-Server\programdata folder?

No, I can't login because I can't remember the password. Looking to re-set. No, i'm not the admin and don't have access other than connecting to the server. Seems like a pretty easy fix...click forgot password, receive email to re-set password and good to go, but not receiving anything in my inbox to reset after submitting.

Only the admin of that local server is able to reset your password.  That is why you receive the notice.

Please contact your system administrator to reset your password.

I was told to reach out to Emby, because the admin doesn't store any passwords or reset password.

Well technically you would have two methods of logging in as you have a local account and your Connect account is attached to that.  I guess that depends on what server version whoever's server you are connecting to.  So it depends on what method you are connecting to that server also.  Because if your local account does not have a password then anyone that connects to that local server can login with your account without a password because one is not set. 

 

But if you reset your Connect password and logging in via Connect/app.emby.media you should not have any issues, just like logging into the forum.

How do reset my "connect password" , that what my screen shows is "login w/ connect", but after putting in the PIN afterward doesn't work, because I don't have the right password. I do have the right username.

Well it is your forum password but if you can't remember it you can not go to your username at the top of the forum and reset your password in My Settings.

 

So you would have to got through the forgot password process.

@@Luke that screen is a black hole as no matter what I put in it I get no response emails.​  Actually it took a couple minutes but get reset email.
