Channel switch not possible by pressing a number on remote

I observed, that it is not possible to switch to, e.g. channel 3 by just pressing the key 3 on my Android TV remote. In Kodi this is working. Will tis be possible with emby as well?

Posing a question here..

 

Since Sony AndroidTV's have number keys on their remotes would this be a place to start and then in the Harmony setup one could select Sony AndroidTV instead of ShieldTV? Will this work for Flirc? Does Sony use a fork of AndroidTV not supported completely by Emby?
