RayBomb 9 Posted March 3, 2019 Posted March 3, 2019 (edited) Hi community! New user to Emby here I have just installed Emby and set up my media folders, when I noticed my Simpsons folder wasn't recognised properly (did'nt know that it was Simpsons). I found out I had misspelled the folder. I then changed the folder name, and did a rescan of the tv-show library. But that didn't work, it still wasn't recognised properly by Emby.So i thought that if i removed it from the Metadata manager, that would fix it, but that just made it worse. Now i cant get Emby to show the Simpsons folder at all. I have tried to remove the tv-show library, and rebuild it, but it still wont show up. I have tried to move the metadata folder from default position, to a specific position, and removed all entries from the old folder, but that didn't work. I have rescanned my folder about 10 times, but the Simpsons wont show up any more. What am I missing/doing wrong? Is my only option to uninstall emby and reinstall it? Any help is appreciated edit:clarification Edited March 3, 2019 by RayBomb
Luke 42097 Posted March 3, 2019 Posted March 3, 2019 How did you remove it from the metadata manager? Sounds like you might have deleted your folder.
RayBomb 9 Posted March 7, 2019 Author Posted March 7, 2019 When I looked at the actual folder short while after I deleted it from the metadata folder, it was still there.. Now I can see that the folder and files inside is gone from my HDD.... So yes, your right, its gone.
kyrios 4 Posted March 7, 2019 Posted March 7, 2019 (edited) You probably might be a victim of Emby severe bug. Emby Just Deleted ALL of my Movies Entire Library DELETED! Emby deleted all my movies when I deleted just one Emby movie library empty Edited March 7, 2019 by kyrios
Happy2Play 9790 Posted March 7, 2019 Posted March 7, 2019 Still not enough information to know what the issue is, and if there is even a issue. To me it sounds like a misunderstand of what delete does in the metadata manager.
